I know its missing the lightweight flywheel That I am gonna get first

I wanted a quick disconnect type steering wheel (blue or black NRG 2.5 with lock) but cant find a steering wheel I want. I don't want a steering wheel thats a complete circle kinda flat on the bottom. But this I will not hold up the car for. I will just cut the airbag out and till I find one that I like.

I was thinking HKS hi-power exhaust. I like the fact thats its black but would prefer it to have dual tips oh well

If I can find a place to do the brakes cheaper I will get it done later.
(they want 500 for what they say are 300zx twin turbo I think thats steep)

soon as I research these I am good to go.

Work on car will probably start in a week or so.

So if anything doesn't seem right please let me know I would hate to have miss something.

well for one...if u wanna drift i dont think that steering wheel u are looking for would be best..... plus to me it seems like u dont know what needs to be done, your just taking stuff from the interwebz and putting it in your plan. i think you should figure out what is needed for a bare-bones swap and also what extras you would like.... the reason i say this is you will get raped if you run to a shop and don't say what you want up front and aren't confident on what needs to be done.....
 
First of all I don't drift and probably can't anyway.


Its taken me 3 years to put that list together and the car has been sitting nearly 2 years waiting for this. Somethings the car needs and some things that I want. If you seen the list it goes from seats to rims

And taken almost as long to save up the cash.
This list is what I want on the car no shop is telling me what I need. I am here for the convo and input thats all. Alot of the things I already knew and some I didnt. Its been a good experience. Hope to learn more.

Some ask to keep them updated so hence this post of my list
after this gets done Suspension is next

greddy m spec intercooler has been discontinued for about 2 years now.

also the hks hi power isnt black.

I know its been discontinued I don't think it was that long ago Well the 2 bad I have one and the HKS the pipes are not the end can if you want to be exact about it. Should I tell you how much it weighs also, JK

I wonder whats gonna happen if I do a rb26dett next time.

first thing you dont need 300zx brakes get j30 brakes they are cheaper and still bigger brakes. if your doing a auto to manual swap get the stanless braided clutch line its like 25 and worth every penny. good luck bro if you just take it to a shop your gonna get rapped hard your better finding people here to do it. shit will be on point and alot less money
 
That what I was thinking for brakes anyway. Good catch I forgot about the clutch lines How I forgot who knows. A slight oversight on my part thats. I owe you a beer.

I hope you are not referring to me. If you are thats fine i wont answer anymore dumb questions by noobs. I answered your question honestly and you took offense to it. I told you to make sure of what you want because I understand how shops work and have been down this road before. The other guy actually sells most of that shit you asked about so he also was just trying to help you out.... You need to stop being butt hurt and see that people are trying to help you. Either way GL with your build, you will need it.

hmm i was just trying to help you out.. figured you looked at the mspec when you started to compile a list 2 years ago. No need to be cocky :rolleyes:

also you are going to want a z32 TT Fuel filter and a front and main seal for the motor.... if you want a dual tip exhaust get a apexi n1 dual

And believe me no one is hating on your stock sr swap.

i have hks ti.... sounds great(that was to stay on topic) and this is to say i hope u learn to take what others say with an open mind, and with a grain of salt... there are a lot of people on this forum who know what they are talking about thoroughly....but hey stay butt hurt.


ps --- what r u doing on a drift forum if u never plan on drifting... to be honest nobody cares about a swap from a guy who wont use it... but i might be wrong.
 
Sorry giys if you felt I was attacking I wasn't And truly didn't mean it that way I have working on this like forever and it seems that my frustration came out on that post A little bit.

So if I offended anyone didn't mean to an I am sorry.

I Have been following drifting for years (except this last year when I was hospitalize for the loss of my right eye) I would love to but I don't think it would be really safe for me to do so. I think people would have alot of reservation about a one eye drifter on the skid pad. And the fact I never got to do it before the accident means i have zero skills right at the moment. I might try i might not doubt that the rules will allow me to.

So I put this to you, So by the rules do they allow a one eye driver to compete?

the answer might change my mind.

can you drive on a public road with one eye? if you do then im sure u can drive a skidpad with just cones in it. not to be a jerk but if you really want info on this swap you should source the motor call a shop and ask them how much to put it in. then later upgrade the rest of the stuff on your own. for now just get the car running.

Anything is possible (Disney moment). Yea there are drifters believe it or not with disabilities/handicaps...... They have a guy from japan who's in a wheelchair and still manages.... I dont know about the insurance concern and shit like that, but hey its worth a try and if you keep going somebody will eventually let u slide...

I have not driven in almost two years since the accident. I am home bound and this is my only car to try and learn how to drive since I lost my eye. The medication I just got put on (cause I was getting sick just sitting in a car) is making things a little blt easier to deal with. I have my Disney moments due to that. To some it up I got a long way to go. And getting the car finished and learn to drive is one of them. And would help a great deal.

Why are you trying to make power and do an sr swap when your just learning how to drive with a disability? Just do some suspension work, make your car look nice, and ease into driving again.

yo, u can do anything with one eye.... no track will turn u down as far as i know.

agree with kleen555 too.
