got a question guys i sold a car a while back. and the buyer has not registered because he keeps changing the bill of sale so he pays lower taxes. been a real pain. now my question is if i turn in the notice of sale form is the title no longer in my name? what can i do about this? im taking the notice of sale tommorow to a dmv to see whats up.

well if you submit it with the actual sale, he might get in legal trouble/fraud if he turns it in with a different price. but in the meantime, if he doesnt register it- he could like run someone over and abandon the car and you'd be a suspect since its still 'your car' until the document is in the dmv's hands.

if you have the bill of sale signed by both with a date you will be safe just get it notarized too!
