Im about to sea foam my car wanted to know if anyone has ever done it and the pros/cons? :bigthumbu

divide it equally and you should be set. i think do it with almost full tank(if u doin s13) put 33%, then 33%in the brake booster line, and i think after all that 33% in the crankcase. but for the brake booster line, you gotta keep the throttle up cause if not it wil just stall. and dont pour all of it at once. some1 correct me if im wrong

Don't do it, heard it's not recomended on high mileage cars because you might loose compression

yeah i read that on some forum i 4got where

lol they're saying that in motors above 150,000 miles you have so much carbon build up that its bad to use seafoam because it would remove it then making it consume alot more oil

well iv been deciding whether to do this for a long time. how bout you seafoam it and tell us how it runs after? lol

prolly get more of a rush if u drank the seafoam... wut are you looking for in using this? j/w

I've done it before, not a big difference. It just cleans the motor from the carbon build up just divide it 3 ways a part in the gas tank a part through a vacuum line usually the brake booster, and the last in ur oil right before an oil change, u put it in and just let it idle for 5 min, don't drive it or rev it cuz it brakes down the oil. After u let it idle then just a regular oil change

thanks ali, but can i just do the vacumm part and gas part? or you have to do all three because i just changed my oil

U can do just the 2 u shouldn't have any problems
remember to make sure ur neighbors r alright with all the smoke it's gonna throw out when u put it in the vacuum line

lol true ok im going to go try it.

if it messes it up ka's are cheap lol

i highly recommend seafoam down the brake booster. i've seen positive power results.
not huge but its nice. it breaks down any carbon build up it touches, including the ones on your valves and it should also clean your piston rings of their carbon, all around better gas sealing for more compression and power. though i will tell you even if you use it through your brakebooster only your oil will be pitch black from the dissolved carbon. do it when you are about to change your oil again.

ok so i did it just throught the brake booster line and gas tank. then drove to the gas station and filled up then beat the shit out of it down a back road where there is never anyone. I did notice a little bit better throttle response, and definately a better idle and smoother acceleration. we'll see how it goes in the next few days im almost positive my ka is indestructable anyway
