So what kinda barracades are on the track? Any car eating walls? Any pics of the new track or video? Sick ditches?

jackson: there isnt even enough drivers for 2 groups... no need to buy 2 spots, you're going to get plenty of track time if this even happens.

What I don't get is the street class is JUST LIKE a normal TER-TECH practice event. Why do those sell out/at least 35-40 sign up and this one is like.... 14 people or something. Moroso used to get PACKED and i was skidpad and road course.... 2 drivers lists full. WTF PEOPLE

Yeah, seriously.
I was convinced this event would fill the fuck up.

so to help make sure this event goes thru even though I might not even be there. Im going to put up at least $50 towards 1 driver or even another $50 for another driver. its just upto sfldrifters and tertech to decide who gets it.

wats up im planning on registering i just need some money i should have my cage down this week so i can make it for homestead but i really wanna slide pbir lmk it will be very appreciative

the second one. there will be a chance to earn your license here and then compete (if car is up to spec already). Round1 sean forrester showed up no license.... earned it, went into pro calss since he had his car ready, and took 4th place.
tyy sir
count me IN!

You realize if you pay at the gate its 100$ more then pre registering?

I think Gary just hates using paypal sooo fucking much that he would rather pay an extra $100 than be forced to click his mouse on a paypal logo a couple of times. I know what you're thinking, it's really stupid and makes no fucking sense at all, and you're completely 100% correct.

I honestly think its the economy! Drifting is dead! there is only handfull of dedicated drivers left. These are the same people that go to all the events and sign up no matter what, but the casual drifters are gone! and we need those as well.

So the message is pretty clear as far as I can see FL drifting is done! If D1 event cant pull more than few thousand spectators how could we pull the same? We cant with the limited funds we have. And to run event like PBIR we need minimum of 1000 spectators and full field of drivers just to cover the costs.

Never the less I'm waiting on PBIR's response, if they will honor our verbal agreement yes we will run the event no matter what if no the event will be cancelled.

Will make the decision by tonight.

Sincerely:

Harri Tervola

If my car wasn't in the garage, without a turbo, and without 4 flat tires, and with a seat, harness and steering wheel as well as ECU and stuff, i'd be one of the dedicated ones. Im not blaiming economy. My income just sucks dick. Hope the event goes on! And thanks to Harri and Ter-tech for trying their hardest to bring florida a fun and successful series.

:( so should i wait on registration then Harri...I just received funds to run the event. Ryan is up in Texas now picking up his miata so he will be registering when he gets back as well...

Should i wait or go ahead and register? I know 2 spots will make a little difference or non at all but i wanna know if its still on!

I hate the fact that this came from Harri "So the message is pretty clear as far as I can see FL drifting is done! If D1 event cant pull more than few thousand spectators how could we pull the same?" just because of the love he has thrown at the sport and the support he has given to all of us as drivers, we have come to a point where drifting in this state has gotten sour. I am sad to see this come to. Remember the day when every was saying drifting will be bigger than nascar! i wish it was true! I love this game and i don't want it to Fail. I may even consider moving by next year to a state that is involved in drifting more than ever.

I hear guys that throw practice events in cali have a FULL list of drivers and thousands of spectators and media!!!! WHY????? why don't we have that? we use to, but what happened??

Harri, give me the word, if you say register, i will register....I am waiting on u to give a response by tonight if this event is a go or not! Sorry it took effort to begin a F.D.C series and now we have to watch it FAIL.

I honestly think its the economy!

It took you till now to admit this???????? Shits been going down hill for the last 2 years. I'd love to be drifting, but unfortunately its to costly at the moment, and real life costs come before extracurricular activities and I know i'm not the only one in this boat. It sucks sorry Harri wish it would have worked out better.

Well the thing is, a shit load of people said they'd commit to this series. Me being one of them. I lost my license and got into a terrible financial situation and had to sell my S14. I dunno what other peoples excuses are. But if florida didn't say they wanted this, tertech wouldn't have wasted their time.

I kinda wish I was putting together an s chassis

As much as I don't have the money for this.. ill check back tonight to see if its still going on.. ill register and drive my broken ass car just to give another driver..
