Nissan GTR

warranties cover normal driving. idk how anyone can seriously expect an honored warranty if its known that you are racing your car or modifying factory components. the black box is too big brother for me and if i were in the market for a car of the GTR's caliber, i'd pass it up for an m3 or z06 based on that alone - but you know what you're getting into when you buy one anyway. the old adage "you gotta pay to play" holds true. i think it sucks too but im not shocked that it happens. maybe b/c i already went through it years ago when i bought a brand new wrx.
 
you people make it seem like if you blow your motor and the dealer isnt going to question why that happened....

a dealer doesnt warranty anything damaged by any sort of modifications....

at Benz it was common to get a lot of C-class' with blown speakers...before i even found out what speakers where blown i looked for amp and sub cables and told the
service writer...

the AMGs....when they came in with blown motors...we looked for traces of nitrous before diagnosing the main issue. its funny how people will deny to your face they havent dont something wrong and keep a straight face..its even funnier watching their facial expression after they get a price quote. :laugh:

seroiusly tho...i think the launch control b/s is garbage....but i mean if you break it after modifying it..expect to pay for it. dealers are dirt bags anyways....
