The bimmer at mineral wells. Shake down

not an autocross, Just laid some cones out at a lot we drive at.

Steering wheel is a peyton from japan. I have a couple white ones if you guys are interested pm me.

Took the bimmer to mineral wells last weekend for a couple runs. 275's are a joke, car weighs way to much with ac, system, and power everything...

Was this before you did the spindles??? -edited-

Just remembered.. you have a 95 M3, that's the slowest rack in all the E36 cars IIRC. Get yourself a Z3 1.9 rack and then see if your steering is still 8turns lock-to-lock.

Mine is like 2.0 lock-to-lock, with the crazy angle, but I still want the Z3 rack.

Looks like I wont get to tandem with you at IRL cause someone wanted the Honda Element there instead......

No? The E36 M3 OBD1 has the shortest rack at 3.0 turns lock to lock. That I can vouch for. All other e36s have a 3.2 lock to lock, which is what I'm putting in my car right now.

The Z3 rack from what I understand is more of a myth. The "shorter" rack comes due to the fact that it's an e36 rack with steering stoppers. So yes, it is less turning lock to lock, but it doesn't give you the same angle. If you were to remove the steering stoppers, it'd be the same angle and lock to lock as a regular E36 rack.

this video was pre spindle.

have a box full of stuff here... e46 M control arms, 1 inch spacers, ssr wheels, and the syncrowave 250/sawzaw is ready to make monster angle!

Looks like I'm going to be stepping into a miata chassis. I must have read a 1000 post of yours over on roadsterdrift. I'm pretty excited.

It appears you are right about this. Glad to know it before i bought a 1.9 Z3 rack.
