ka with ITB's soon? input greatly appreciated

Holy shit this thread is DUMB.

OMGZ 190lbs/ft of torque!!! na/ka!! 220whp ca so hard to drive!!!! How do thousands of people drive fine with high hp peaky turbo motors!!!????? FUCK YOU 200whp is soo awesome for drift!!!!!!

Jason, dude.. I loved the vert... But, your a moron.

Anyone who says its fun to blow up a motor is dumb as hell. That 1500 you put into your 5 motors could have partially built your internals. to hold the abuse you put on them.

I dont think you will ever finish an ITB KA. Why, because you said rebuilding a motor wasnt worth it. Stick to sliding stock KA's with bolt ons and have fun. Dont waste your time trying to build anything.

ive actually been talkin to martin about having him start building my a high comp bottom end with sohc pistons overbored, new gaskets/seals,then ME assmebling the head with cams,port/polish, head components, and thicker headgasket. then bringin it back to him at ZFEVER with the itb's hooked up,get some sr injectors, and get a fresh tune on the megasquirt. it will be somewhere around 200whp, and a very reliable ka that should last me for a long time.should be lots of fun to slide and CRAZY INSANE responsive. i had tons of fun for years just sliding with like 130whp in stock ka's, this will be like a 50-60 whp increase in power, and a 400% increase in reponse.should be perfect for what i wana do with it.im lookin at spending about $1000-1500 all in all depending on how much $ i wana put into the headwork and/or custom header, and drivetrain initailly.

your sohc pistons will take a shit on you and they will not give you as much compression as you think. im not sure were or how you got the idea that the single cam and the duel cam have such great differences in displacement but they dont. the only difference in the pistions is the dome. thats it. then you want to put a thicker head gasket + your over bore, which will work against you to achive higher compression. the reason why i am telling you the single cam pistion will fail you is the same reason that they do in turbo applications and you will be stressing the motor even further then if you were to turbo the ka. I am not sure how you came to the idea that you will have 400% increase in response but it wont be that dramatic.

what i havent seen you say is that you are getting some JWT cams and Cam gears. Proper pistons

im pretty sure it has more to do with deck height that lets you achieve that high compression on the dohc using the sohc pistons.....

haha it's only like 350-400 range, but I take back most of what I said in this thread because I saw that you're boys with shaqeefa dudes and work at munchies, both of which are awesome.

Ok. So you want to achieve 200hp n/a on a KA motor? First off, I hope you got really deep pockets because you're going to be spending lots of money. Nothing wrong with a KA, my opinion is not biased, I love KAs (KA-Tony knows this), but building an n/a KA is something I would do for fun, and wasting money you probably don't have is not fun.

On another note, I understand why some people would want to "stay away" from turbo, but the fact of the matter is, you can achieve 200HP easy...easy on KA-T super budget build. I'm talking a fucking T25 setup will you get you 200HP on a KA, it's been done before plenty of times.

I think you should really think shit through before starting on this build, I read you were complaining about your CA's torque curve, but come on seriously dude, everyone knows CAs don't have the optimum torque curve for drifting, it's a high revving motor and most of the power is made at high RPM.

But do what you want, I think it'll be a fun build, you'll learn tons of shit, but at the end I don't think you'll be happy.

Fawk dammit let me get my orange name back!

yeah i live at shaqueefa mansion actually. How do u know about it just wondering. we did a couple demos at the srq park before. i wuz awesom! we did the whoel demo to wu-tang enter the 36 chmbers too lol. we usually have like 50-60 tires stacked up in back, shits hood tho, we got bums watchin our house for us too lol. nice to meet u man. ive seen you destroy plenty of times

yea, yea i know what everyones sayin, makes sense. i mean im all about throwin a t25 on a ka with low-medium boost til it blows. what replceing a 300 dollar motor every...2-12 months ya know. it kinda fun. (even tho ive never had a ka-t, just ka nas), but i already had to wiring setup with megasquirt, and i wanted to try out somethin cool, like the itb's. my main issue with my previous ca was the super spiked torque curve/low torque motor with the pulsar t28 i was using. the ca is def out. but im gonna consider the prices of ka-t vs na ka itb, becasue ive got a little start on either one, with the stuff ive got already.
