I dont smoke it so there for it should stay illegal, I dont care how much revenue it could generate on taxes.

And if people really dont like the United States and how things are run than they should get the hell out.
^^^The only person I agree with fully here.
Oh and Anna, you can get your point across without having to call someone an idiot because they have a different point of view.
All the smart people would buy their pot off the reservation tax free.![]()
I take offense to that because im Cherokee and I have family that lives on the reservation shits not cool. Its seriously a fucked up place.
OK i was like 10% serious w/ the mj thing. It would generate a ton of revenue and tax money though.
Seriously, if anybody had an answer to the question of what to do to "fix" the economy, they better be rushing to the white house to explain it.
If it were up to me, and thank God its not (i don't handle stress well haha), I'd let the institutions burn, suffer the short term consequences, deregulate markets in a Reaganistic fashion, and go back to our free market roots.
That's why I support the economic and socioeconomic views of Libertarians like Ron Paul and Constitutionalists like Chuck Baldwin. Not to the full extent of laissez faire capitalism, but certainly less bs than we have now. Its why we developed the way we did and why countries like South Korea have mimicked our fundamentals with great success.
i know but i was fustrated. im sorry. im pretty open minded but when someone makes a general statement like the one you made it could be taken a few different, not all happy ways.
We agree on something at least. So would that make me not a total moron?![]()
The average middle class earner in this country can easily sustain life for himself (house, clothes, food, etc) and have money to spare. They earn between $25k and $100k, with a mean of over $35k. So what we're really talking about here is providing wealth to a class that is already considered, by world standards, wealthy. OK so they can't afford a bigger house, newer car, and top of the line home entertainment. My heart's not bleeding here.
I'm sorry but I think its arrogant to worry about these people when there are people around the world who risk death with each sip of water they take. Consider the vast amount of the world's population lives in poverty. Of that population, the vast majority earn under $1 /day. There are disease epidemics, famine, genocide, etc all around the world. I would much rather contribute, on my own free will, to charities and organizations who's primary focus is helping these people...the people who really need it. And I don't feel antiamerican for believing that.
I don't think you're a moron. You hold true to your socialistic values but I do have a problem with the fundamentals of the argument.
For example: you keep talking about helping your fellow Americans by spreading the wealth through higher taxes.
Well, the people who really NEED help can get it. There are enough government funded welfare and reform programs existing today to ensure that. That's why you don't see breadlines and starving people in this country.
The socialistic values presented by Obama and his supporters do not hide the fact that they're about helping the middle classs. The average middle class earner in this country can easily sustain life for himself (house, clothes, food, etc) and have money to spare. They earn between $25k and $100k, with a mean of over $35k.
