Is it possible to change the fuel pump without running out a full tank of gas. Just got a walbro 255 and I need to install is ASAP
 
well even if I didnt disconnect my battery its dead as can be anyways. But my question was that I have almost a full tank of gas do I have to use all that gas up before I take out the old pump to install the new?

On the instructions it says to run the car out of gas before installing the new pump
 
well I gotta change my altenator first and I just got a new battery for it.


Does anybody know what altenator can replace the altenator for the RB20DET that is from a US car
 
no the tank does not need to be empty, yes you do need to disconect battery (no matter how dead it is), yes do what paul says and get rebilt alt... just make sure it was your alternator what was wrong... takes just 10 minutes to change pump, then go to auto part buy 300zx TT fuel filter (10-12 bucks)....
 
thanks for the info guys just attempted to put my fuel pump in dropped one of the screws so.............you know how that goes. Either way I cant find my key anyways
