I came across it looking for the gushi scion...

Yes and it's spelled All-Trac. ;)

hats a first. Never heard of this. Nor did I ever hear there was a link between the Celica and tC platforms. Who told you this?

I'll be shocked if Ken Gushi's car is running a Celica engine + drivetrain.

http://wreckedmagazine.com/blog/2008/04/02/rogue-status-announces-ken-gushi-as-a-team-driver/

actually the TC is the Celica updated.. it shares almost all chasis similiarities..even dimesions of doors etc.. how do i know this ?? well..
I OWNED BOTH lol :laugh: even the front bumpers bolt in at the same spots.. side skirts of celica GTS (2000 -up) are the same as TC.. as brake setup is interchangable.. as some other supension components..
i have exchange parts between them :p.. i owned a GTS 2001 white 6-speed (now after my bro got married ... it was my gift !) and my wifey has a TC :p .. and since people like pics.. here they are !

Yea it's gay. Whatever. USA sucks, ruins drifting, corporate greed... etc etc blah blah, i dont even fucking care anymore....

it doesnt look very good though...

gushi got fucked this not only did he get fuck out of his sponser ships but he got a rwd conversion car fail and hope it hold up for him he is a sick driver who diserves a way beter car than a gay scion

Considering Toyota drops over $300million per year on F1 alone, I am sure there is a good budget and some decent design work put into this car....

I'm sure it will make plenty of top16's, but a lot of drivers have stepped up their game and new drivers in the series too.... Gushis driving from 3 years ago aint gonna cut it in '08, but I hope to see him back in the mix.

BUT........i wanna see him get high rank in this car just to shut everyone up that is hating! remember....its not the car its the driver or is it its not how you stand next to your car? wait what?

pfft i think the car will do well, if it was built by toyota its not some choppy ass 2 week car it will last, if braille did it and theres held im sure toyotas will last even longer.

^LMAO chuck posted that already i bet its fun as hell to drive im not even gonna lie id drift it if i could repaint it black and put some sick ass rims on it. again do they not have apipe bender LMAO thats by far the worst intercooler piping ive ever seen.

i know i wouldnt drive a fully backed car either, no way, i like to spend all my money on it....hhahaa yeeaaaa right, sign me up next.

i know its not the prettiest thing but scion has gotten so much PR from this, and so has Gushi, they've got enough attention to last the year, now if he can actually be competitive, people will flip out.

its not alwasy about what you do, sometimes its about who and how many people are watching you do it.

actualy when you looka t a fwd platfourm and take it and turn it into a rwd platfourm you now take all the original lagistics and fuck them and the dependibilty of a 4wd gear box turned into a just rwd gear box goes right in the shiter so yes the driver makes the care if the car is prepared for the driver

also the braill acura kept blowing transfercases back to back thats why he got the 350z ask him your self and it took toyota probubbly 2 mounths to decide what parts to use then thy just choped it up lets see what happens in the end and stop talking shit but how many of you want to bet the car fails on the driver in the 4th race of the seassion or sooner any one wanna take on a machanic???

They call it pie-cut bends, and one nice thing is that it doesnt require expensive mandrel bends, and you can grind the inside of each weld smooth after you make it. But just a few mandrels+careful welding would do the same thing... Also notice the expansion tube from the turbo to the IC.

Dude, it's not a AWD to RWD conversion, or using anything remotely stock. It's a RWD engine from an Altezza, hooked to a sequential gearbox (watch the video, you can hear it).

I would guess it's either using a complete custom rear suspension (most likely tubular double A-arm, with a baller diff and uprights),

OR

if Toyota slid in on the "it's based on a platform that comes AWD" argument then it's most likely running an Avensis 4x4/Caldina GT4 rear suspension, with extra-beef halfshafts and diff.

Oh and the spiral clamps are ultra-fail....
