Get a greddy intake manifold and make your life easier. Until you have to adjust idle anyway.

During the short time I had my engines running on mega squirt, I would have warm idle set at 1k rpm and during 50* cold starts it might sputter around 450 500, for 10 seconds while the chamber warms up then as coolant temp went up it resumed close to 1k. I had to play with cold start advance and cold start pulse widths to get there but I didn't have any ridiculous issues. Shouldn't be that far off with a airflow meter, did you have issues?

oh and after rereading your original post about the steam or spraying or something, the same thing has happened to me. Fortunately the break was right behind the hose clamp. I cut 1\2 inch off the heater hose and put it back on with a stainless steel hose clamp. dun dun dun dun dun.
