Z drifters

o im gonna kill you, o shit u missed a fwd trying to drift in the publix parking lot where we was chillin!

i drift an 03 touring on a regular basis ..street ,track, parking lot wet ,dry and i cant wait for snow.....under any circumstance DO NOT WELD YOUR DIFF thats old junk 240 crap.....th stock vlsd will do just fine ...they run about 300.00 bucks all day on ebay or on the street..ive used lots of welded diffs in my 240. turn in sucks ass with a welded diff not to mention the cars reactions totally change .you can still drift your z without a welded diff just turn in real hard while your on the breaks shell come around.. qand dont waist your time with your hand brake .if your on a budget dont waist your money on junk coilovers ..save for jic or tein and the rears must be a seperate shock and adjustable spring unless you want to replace lots of rear lower control arms

Thankyou sir! bottefedka ftmfw!!!!!! someone who drifts a Zs' opinion! So the stock vlsd is enough great! I thought about welding it but i got advice from my350z drifters to not do cuz theyve been there and what not and its a pain in the ass! Im not putting junk on the car Tanabe springs or eibach or not to mention R.Y.O from aero-k if i save up for a while. Thanks for your help dude i really appreciate it.

im running megan racing springs and they drop it nice ..it takes about two weeks to get there (when i first dropped it it went down about a mm) within a week i noticed a drop now she sits right nice and even and the ride didnt change at all (i have the touring so its a bit stiffer than base) i picked up megan as a sponsor so im also running the full exhaust system - the headers (havent had the time to install them) with the k&n full typhoon system i dynoed at 260 whp and 248 ft lb of torque it was a touch louder than stock without the down pipes then i removed the cats installed the test pipes and it sounds just right to turn heads(pretty loud but not intrusive for me )it gets a touch raspy at the red line

how much did all of that cost you???

I found the megan catback exhaust for sale and wanted to see how it sounds (ive never heard it before) That and the tanabe exhaust are my options for now cuz theyre cheap. You wouldnt happen to have a soundclip would ya?

his car sounds great you should get the megan exhuast. Its not too loud but it gives it an aggressive tone. and his stance is onpoint with the springs too. all around its a nice car. -SAS

My friend had full megan on his 350z. High end sucked. He sold it to some kid and bought a Invidia. He actually gained good power and it sounds way better than the Megan. Filter and invidia catback only, he dynod 287whp.

What year is his Z? My invidia exhaust should be here on monday. Didnt think you could just get such high numbers from just an exhaust and filter.

Like ive said before, the Z has enough if not too much power for drifting. Im not in it for the power. An exhaust to me is what it is, an add-on to help the car breath better and help airflow better. Of course along with intake and headers. I want an exhaust that sounds deep and mean but not loud as balls to let everyone know im coming down the street.

if this is your first drift event i would suggest you do a autocross also , cause it will teach total car controll and the limits of your car in a grip and drift manner

definately im interested in autX and drifting but drifting is my first turn then the next one is autoX

whoever said they dynoed at 287 at the wheels with an exhaust and a filter is full of crap...lets see dyno sheets those numbers are unheard of with those mods they are correct about the megan at the top of the rev range it gets loud ....but i love it ..it sound down right powerfull but well worth the money and it makes power im hittin 260 whp with a 60,000 mile motor NO HEADER that will be installed this weekend. the megan exhaust saves almost 20 pounds ...i just got my motordyne spacer and an aem piggyback from our koni challenge 350z (grand am cup) along witha few other goodies
