Newest model tranny + brand new clutch and it cost me $0

Yay for the infiniti factory warranty!

I thought you had a new tranny already although IDK why they gave you a new clutch for free, clutches arent covered under warranty, it's wear n tear just like brakes. goodjob

They gave me a new clutch because it's "a new tranny design" and a new clutch design and they come as a package.

Atleast that's what they said... I don't care either way! it was free.

Anyway, I got a new trany because it was under warranty.. I wanted a 2006 tranny insted of the 2003 tranny (that has known issues) and it had a slight grind when shifting quickly into 5th at high RPMS

Dan, That was another car I was going to buy I bought this one insted, and so I did the same thing the other guy did... had them change the tranny for free.

The new tranny feels great, shifts like brand new (it is) very crisp and easy.

What's so amazing about it? It's a recall, it's not a great deal, it just means Nissan fucked up and they had to bring all their cars in to fix it. My friend has a G35 and also got a "new, free" tranny and clutch.

Is this the same tranny issue found in the early 350z's? If so, hooray for Nissan for actually taking care of problems quickly and easily.

Knowing that he didn't do it so it's all good mwahahaha.

Hey, do you know if the new tranny is covered under the 2006 powertrain warranty or does it still use the old one from 03?

Wow like BMW, Mercedes, VW, Audi, or ANY other german manufactor or any manufactor AT ALL has never had a recall? If im not mistaken the honda S2000 had tranny problems when they first came out.

Toyota has three right now and about to be 4, but its going to happen with how many cars they produce.

It's not a recall.

yea anytimne they replace new parts like this its called a recall, or its posted on the technical service bulliten and basically not really out to the public, but its still considered a recall.
