Theres a pic somewhere of a dood in japan flippin his car with a cusco cage, and that thing held up just fine.
But I think he didnt come flying down on the roof like this guy, and it was in a stripped 180, so it was alot lighter than that thing.

i dont know if that has to do with bolts or with strength of the material or cheapness. thats why some cages say they're for "looks"

Thats why to me, tandeming with a bolt on cage is a joke, hell a bolt on cage is a joke, no matter how many cool drifter bolt on points there are, its still only bolted to the car in 6 spots at best, id take a 4 point welded roll bar with no halo, over a 16 point bolt on cage. Not to mention wall thickness / material are no where close to as good as a decent welded cage.

Granted some protection is better than nothing

lol some people are so clueless.

he must have slammed down with some considerable impact. Even I flipped my car over and my roof didnt cave in like that.

Fun enough this guy has a welded and can't even drift in FARA L to O's to the L's

seriously?

he probably
1. didnt have the proper bolts
2. didnt have the proper steel
3. didnt have proper plates or didnt even have plates underneath where is bolts too
and
4. i dont know if anyone looked inside all the d1 cars in miami, but they were all running bolt in cages, but they were all tack welded as well as bolted in.

plus, if u read the article, it wasn't even a full cage, just the rear bar

my answer, it was probably put together by idoits, or not enough cage to do the job.

the cage was strong enough but like mentioned in japolik or w/e the bottom of the cage busted right through the floor so apparently he didnt have contact plates or ones that were big enough to distribute the stress. so yea they didnt put it in right at the very least.
