Street Drifting is way to dangerous these days....considering that all police officals pretty much know what drifting is, u can get fucked....one of my guys got caught street drifting back about a year ago and he is still facing shit with courts and liscense being revoked for 1 yr or some shit......its a pain in the ass....makes u go broke, stressed, angry!

Keep Drifting for the tracks.....much safer, and u got seat time on a track or open lot to try and mess with every single aspect of keeping the car sideways! :D

I agree with everyone....Just suck in ur gut....and sign up at events and get legal and safe seat time! :bigthumbu

Yeah this is what I have been saying for years... and I caught Flak for this opinion 2 years ago my has this forum com along nicely :)

this is stupid. if you wanna street drift then street drift. if youre so concerned about getting a yellow name in the coolest forum on the internet, then go out and drift for real at an event. like everyone said, theres so many now, blah blah blah bullshit about you cant afford entry or whatever. if you were a real drifter you would find a way. like they said at moroso, insurance companies see this kinda shit, street drifting, and it makes it a lot harder to get events booked and its a bigger pain in the ass for everyone.
im not your daddy so im not gonna tell you keep it off the streets, but dont complain when people are gonna criticize you for not going to events and drifting on the street strictly.

lets see you practice 3rd gear 60 mph entries with a transition full throttle all day on the street.

CANT DO IT!!!

TRACK FOR LIFE! besides who is gonna take your picture and video on the streets??
pictures are priceless:

Pfft, been there, done that...only add more speed. So have others.

I have nothing against REAL street drifters. I respect anyone who pushes the limits (while taking other's into consideration) on the street.

The OG guys on this site all started on the street because that's pretty much all there was for us. Nowadays, there are definitely enough events to gain experience and seat time.
The events are also advertised with plenty of time for you to put aside 50-90 dollars for entry, so if you can afford your car and your insurance, you should be able to afford an event.

there is NO line to follow on the streets... and plus when ur drifting on the streets, theres always the worries of cops and other shit... when im drifting i want my mind to be free... track/event drifting FTW. Streets are cool, if there is a ligit spot, then what the heck... but u can learn more drifting on a track...

and if u want to make a name for urself, then tracks all the way. The only name u can make for yourself on the streets is to the cops... and good luck with that, cause im done, they know me too well!!!

street drifting is where you start..... and a track is where u end up!!

ok track drifters wow u guys sound like a bunch of safe little girls... u might as well put ur turn signals to show what direction u gonna drift in
but yeah ok track drfting is not bad... i never said it was.... i just perfer street... got a problem with that??? ok didnt think so!!! and wow ima grow a mustache so maybe i can look really kool while i drift...

been there done that??? show me proof besides the triangle i hear of. and i heard thats all E brake entry anyways. i wanna see transitions dumping smoke full throttle no worries. show me

And i started on the street for about 2 years before i went to an event.

You're an idiot, that's the problem.

You give no explanation to why you like the streets any better. We all started on the streets, pretty fucking ballsy of you to call us "safe little girls".

We've all been there, we've all done that. We know what the streets are like. That's where drifting started, and no one here will deny to street sliding... but track drifting is better. Hands down.

You obviously bring nothing to the table but attitude.

yeah of course eventually events are what people are gonna go to but only once they feel they are good enough... u know how many times ive seen ppl at events drifting and they spin out every turn.. it looks really bad from i see it  so who goes to an event with no practice at all? no one!! so thats why the streets is a free area for practice and to learn ur mistakes.. :bigthumbu practice on the streets makes perfect in an event!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

hahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

You ARE an idiot.

It's a drift PRACTICE. Not a competition. There's no one to impress at practice events. That's why there are instructors to help others learn how to slide. You're sliding somewhere safer than the streets so you dont fuck up your shit or get a ticket for it while learning.

The triangle was crap. There's nothing wrong with ebrake entries although at my spot, i did not ebrake. And I don't have a car anymore so its hard to prove. When I get my new car, I'll turn you into a believer if you'd like. You can have my ex's number too - she was there for most of it. The real kicker is I did it all in the middle of the day. :bigthumbu

so what your saying is your not good enough to drift at an event yet. cuz everyone will laught at you as you spin?? keep practicing on the street then maybe you can hang with the speed of a track.

+1billion. Why do people look at practices as a place where they have to impress people? I don't get it.
