I know there are a good group of us on this site(and others) but why do you shoot?

Why do you all shoot? What made you get in to photography? What is your favorite style?(bw/color/ect) What is your favorite thing to shoot? What was the first digital/35mm camera?

Why do I shoot - I got in to photography because of my dad. He has a 35mm canon that he takes shots of plastic models/figures..And I was always fasinated with them. And it became larger when i worked for BB in the digital imaging dept.

My fav style is b&w mixed with color.:bigthumbu

Favorite thing to shoot would have to be automotive and then nature..i dont really like doing shoots/weddings...not really a people person unless you know me. Otherwise i am fine being just feet away from cars sliding, speeding, or wrecking infront of me(yes i have been in some close calls). But i also enjoy the people that surround the drifting, racing, and automotive world. I have meet some people that i really enjoy chatting with, and shooting and others well you know.

First digital was a Sony p828 (still have)

Why do I shoot - The way i got into photography was cause my friend was always want to borrow my dads camera to take pics so one day when we went to take pics i would always find nice places to shoot and or take really nice shots with a point and shoot....

My fav style - My favorite style is Color but a warm feeling to the pics......

Favorite thing to shoot - Well personally i love nature and well catching moments......but again i love car's so it comes with the job.....lol:rolleyes:

First digital - a POS Minolta

Current Cam - Nikon D50
 
Why do I shoot - I started taking pictures of my first daughter about 4 yrs ago. I didn't get serious till about 2yrs ago.

My fav style - Slight desat. with a nice bit of contrast

Favorite thing to shoot - Weddings because it pays the most, atleast for me

First digital - Some crappy nikon p&s I think it was a coolpix or something. I got flamed so hard on Honda-tech when I posted up pictures that I thought were good.

Current Cam - Canon XT/350d
 
I got into photography from looking at pics online and was amazed at how so much detail can be captured in a picture. I started using my sis 7.1 mp canon p&s about 3 years ago. started learning about aperature/exposure and started using the camera in manual mode.

Im not sure about my favorite style. I do like action pictures. sports,panning etc.

my favorite thing to shoot is deff automotive photography. I love the rig shots and taking pics of the small details that many people overlook.

after i told my dad i wanted a dslr I learned that he was into photography when he was younger

my 1st camera was a canon digital rebel
currently own a canon 30d
 
Why do you shoot? I got into photography in high school, I use to do video production as well. Then it just went more toward photography. I moved to ft lauderdale to study photography at the Art Institute of Ft lauderdale. Then I met Myculture, and they inspired me to shoot Drifting, then I fell even more in love with it.

What is your favorite style? I try to mix up my style. But make it feel like you were there :D

What is your favorite thing to shoot? Child Photography.. Just Capturing Moments, People Pictures, Drifting. I love it all :D

What was the first digital/35mm camera? I started with a Nikon 33mm, then Moved up to canon rebel xt.
 
Why do I shoot - No special reason, I think personally its calms me down and I like taking a shot and making it look like some what of an art.

My favorite style - Makes you feel impressed, landscape, and automotive.

Favorite thing to shoot - Automobiles, and scenery.

First Digital - Nikon D50, still use it till this day.

Current Cam - Nikon D50, & Nikon D300 possibly on the way.:bigthumbu

this is coming from someone who doesnt aspire to be a photographer, but i like taking pictures.

why do i shoot? : i dont shoot like the pros but i do it because its fun to do

my favorite style: i really like black and white, im a digital person but i give mad respects to the film guys.

favorite thing to shoot: personalities.

first digital: my sony p&s

current camera: saving for the canon rebel xti

i tend to not shoot alot now unless i kinda have too. i really should get back into photography, photoshop makes it harder to get back in. lol gotta start at the basics again. =]
