who wants to help me?

i gotta go to the junkyard and pull a chasis harness from a s13... who wants to help me??? i needa do it before saturday and preferrably in the morning so it's not 10000 degrees outside.

what do you mean by chasis harness? I get the feeling you mean the whole wiring harness for the interior of the car. Im going to be at U-Pick tommorrow (the one on 74th off of the 826) getting parts for the Supra. Im off on thursday also. If you want, come pick me up and ill help you out man.

I'm always up to go to U-pull-it... those people love me hahaha... I walk in and they are like hey what's up Mr 240 lol

the two fuse boxes in the engine bay and all the wires that go to that. it goes from the fuse boxes thru each side fenderwell up underneath the dashboard.. has about 10 connectors under the dash on driver side and 2 on the passenger side and about 15 connectors in the engine bay to undo. sounds easy but trust me it's a ***** and takes a long time to do by yourself without cutting it.

oh yea and I cant go to U-pull it because I am an ex-employee and since I quit they don't particularily like me going there and call the police everytime i try to get in. so M&L is my #1 auto salvage

is M&L next to U-Pull-it? I have never been there.. i'll help

but I don't want to have to pick you up lol.

yea it's the next to u-pull it, thats where all the gangster **** is PM me your number if you want to go tomorrow in the morning

I have to ask...why? The harness looks brand new in your car under the dash. Is the rest fubar'd?

the harness under the dash is perfect, that's not the one i need to replace, the one that needs to be replaced is the one that goes into the engine bay. the dash harness connects to this semi big white box with a screw to hold them together, and that white piece has about 10 extra connectors that connect to the ignition and other random ****s, and it leads out thru the fenderwell to the fuse boxes. well, the harness that goes thru the driver side fender well was all cut up, so instead of taking my chances with soddering those wires back together i just rip them out nice and neat and going to replace them. I think with all the condensation and **** from it being exposed so long to water dirt etc. w/e may have caused an issue if I just wired them back up. I just rather be safe than sorry.

Ahh, I thought they were all the same harness. I never bothered to seperate them so I didn't know. Well, at least your interior harness is in practically brand new condidtion.

yea, i thought the same thing that's why in the picture of the inside the harness was all taken off and then i realized i didnt need to undo all of it and was like ****KKK!!! even the cut harness was really nice condition, just the cut part was kinda sketchy to me.. now i have another fun mission trying to drain the FULL TANK of gas from 10yrs ago .. :sigh:

Don't cut up that harness anymore!!! If your harness is just cut up under the fender, can I buy off you or something? I've got 100 electrical gremlins from that harness in my car so cut or not, yours may help a lot.

it's cut in about 4 other places due to my impatience in pulling it out.. I'll take pics of it, if you want it, you can have it

here are the pictures of the harness.. i didn't resize them so you can see everything a little better, they are big so if you have 56k grab a snickers.
