I just finish watching the movie Sicko and all I had to say after that was, I'm glad I'm going to study abroad in Europe and maybe get a job!
I don't have health insurance and had my share of broken bones so I turley relate to the movie.....I dislike old white rich men!...lol
So who here has health insurance? because if you do, you should really take a look at what they cover!!! :bigthumbu

i love the movie sicko really opens up your eyes about insurance companies, sad to know they can drop you so easily when your sick and need them

I have it and it has helped me out more than once.

And remember kiddies, Moore only lets you hear what he wants you to hear.

Remember the bias of Moore. Please do more research on this topic. There are copious videos and reports of the failings of socialized medicine.
Simple google search. Yields results for BOTH sides. Do the research and decide yourself what you think. Don't just swallow the garbage Michael Moore spews. The videos are the most damning.

Theres so much for either side. But again research both sides and educate yourself. It's about personal responsibility really.

I have health insurance and work for a Health Insurance Company. It is good to have health insurance. It has helped me a lot, but I have been screwed by it too so be very careful with what they have you sign. Sometimes you are signing to forfeit certain benefits and you don't realize it. The movie "John Q" is also a good example.

I wish I had health insurance. The people with it shouldn't complain. I'm getting it when enrollment opens in jan.. When I was 18 I destroyed my knee skateboarding, acl, mcl, meniscus, patella are all fucked (I'll be in a wheelchair when I'm 60). The good thing is I had insurance at the time if not I would have been in the whole like 30 grand...With all the soccer I play, I really need it.
Moore is biased tho....

I dont dog it one bit. I even work for a company that processes FSA. So i know the in's and outs of health.

But when I didnt have insurance my pills would run me about 125+ amonth. :ugh:

Now they are like 20 amonth. :bigthumbu

Health insurance here at circuit city is about 80 a month I believe...not including dental, or vision...But its worth it...

i was denied insurance because i got cancer. go figure, when someone needs the doctors help the most, they turn their noses and say sorry pre-existing conditions can not be covered.
thankfully my doctor is cool as hell and i can make semi-cheap payments. canada is looking better and better everyday. they give you health insurance just for living there. wtf. i hate the states.

U and I need to run to Montreal for a week, then see how you really feel about the states...haha, u would rip your return airline ticket and stay there forever! :D

I don't which really fucking sucks, since I'm an insulin dependant diabetic. Every 3 months I have to go get some bloodwork done so that my endocrinologist knows at what level I'm at and how my health is pretty much, PLUS I have to get all my supplies, syringes, test strips, insulin, etc.
Sucks pretty fucking bad =/
