Wheels size for drifting.

Hey,

I have:
2 18x7.5 wheels with parrelli's (215/35/18)
2 18x7.5 wheels with Kumho Escta AST (225/40/18)
4 17x7 weels with Kumho 711's (205/40/17)

Which should I run on the front and which should I run on the rear. with the 17's on the front and 18's on the rear I seem to understeer(plow) alot. With all 4 17's I still seem to plow.. I haven't tried drifting with the 18's on the front.

The 18's with the parrelli's are bent. soo I don't really want them on the front.

What is better?

18 in the front & 17's in the rear,

17's all around

17's in front and 18's in the rear?

Please help. I need to know soo I can practice before saturday.

THANKS!

all seem too big for the back. i'd go with 17 front with good tires...

rear use 15/16" with bigger tires to even out the size...used/cheaper tires

Well that just sucks... I have about 16 BBS meshie's that are 15's, but they all have bald tires on.

Why are the 17's too big?

16" meshies you mean right? if not...share the wealth!!! If you have them in 15's, slap them on the back, get taller tires, and go find the best road you can

17"s are too big for the back in my taste...larger wheel=slower spinning=harder to move. their ok for the front, but for the back...go with 16/15"

u should be fine with 17's i drifted 17x8 and i prefer them better than 16's, i never got to drift my 18x10 cuz some roasted the tires with out me but they said it was amaizing but then i again they had an sr i was n/a

No, they are 15". I have 4 BBS Meshies off a Q45. Twelve 15" steelies, and four 14" steelies. They were all free. My friends who own JDM buy alot of cars at the auction, strip them, and then send them to the crusher. Soo they give me most of the wheels. Every single one of them is bald because I used them to learn to drift.

I can fit 245/40/17's on the 17's. They are just really expensive.

What should I put in the front and which in the rear? That is what I need to know. I have 4 of each, what is the best combination?

if you just want to fix your understeer problem with tires, then buy a good tire for the front that is at least the same width of what ever used/cheap tires you put on the back.

something like a Falken Azenis 615 up front and a Falken Ziex 512 out back.

or the no cost solution...

front wheel/tire: 2 18x7.5 wheels with Kumho Escta AST (225/40/18)
rear wheels/tires: 2 18x7.5 wheels with parrelli's (215/35/18)
4 17x7 weels with Kumho 711's (205/40/17)

Awesome! thankyou that is was I needed to know. I went drifting today with the 17's in the front and there was noticeable understeer. I was able to fix it after a little bit once I learned how it reacted... I put the kuhmo's in the rear. and now they are... bald... soo now I need another set of 2 18" tires. maybe I will get a Falken Azenis 225/40/18

run 225 azenis up front 18's...other 18's/17's in the rear.

or i know someone selling 4 like new 245/40/18 nitto 555's. could run those on all four corners. $200

Noah told me about those. I thought he said there were only 2 for $200 dollars. If it's all four for $200 then Hellz yeah I'll buy 'em

Mike? Peters?
Anyways, I have no way of getting to Tampa by tomorrow... I am leaving Ocala at 2:30 Saturday. Maybe I'll call later and we can hook up the Z with some tires.
