What parts are needed for a rebuild?

Im gettin CP pistons, eagle rods, new timing belt, water pump, cometic head gasket, arp studs/bolts and oil pump...am i missing something for this build?

intake mani gasket, exhaust mani gasket. and timing belt? you mean chain right. get new timing guides, new oil pick up, piston rings re included im assuming and if your going to use the metal head gasket you should get the head and block machined so that the gasket will seal properly if not use a regular fel pro gasket
 
I think new main bearings, ive seen ppl use Clevite (sp?) ones

and i hope you meant timing chain, cause if you bought a belt its not gonna do you much good dude lol
 
lol yeah i meant timing chain, im use to saying timing belt. how much do you guys think itll cost me to have all this installed?
 
i already did he gave me a quote of 1200 to install everything i just want to know if thats an avg amount or what. george is a cool guy n thanks for the info either way
 
well hes the only guy i go only guy i can rally trust but ill ask around for you dude my neighbor is actually trying to open a shop so ill ask him and if he gives me a quote ill let you know
 
hmmm, if it was me i wouldn't take it to Jorge, ive built my entire car myself and the only time ive ever took it to a shop for anything was for my clutch swap just because i was too burnt out to even touch the damn car anymore...jorge included the charge for resurfacing the flywheel and i took him the car at 10 in the morning, telling me he'll only take 2 hours to do it...in the end i ended up having to get my hands dirty helping him put the tranny i paid him to put on and he didn't resurface my flywheel which was the one fucking thing i wanted him to do especially since the clutch i brought was used...i didnt leave the shop till 2 in the morning...16 hours later. Dont get me wrong hes a good dude, just he did a lousy job with my car.

1200 WTF? For what?! Find an FSM and goto town! All u need is the machining done the rest is cake - especially installing the final product! dude save ur monies for parts and tuning
 
yeah bro 1200!! i thought it was expensive but yet again i've never done this before. I can find the parts at a good cost but the labor is whats going to kill me. Btw mike i sent you a pm.

labor shouldnt be that much man - get the machine work done on the head and block - buy a case a beer - invite some friends over and wala
