VA emissions?

I may be moving to virginia in a couple months and i was wondering if any of you had experience with the cars up there? I know i can google it but florida technically has emissions laws too but it's not strict. So i am wondering if they are like california or atlanta when it comes to annual checks and stuff or is it like here where no one gives?

it might be the same as here in NC where its just an annual safety inspection. no check engine light, all lights work, cat. is on , and tires legal...http://www.vsp.state.va.us/Safety.shtm
