I'm finally looking into going to school which I need to do and was wondering how UTI is. I have a few friends who have gone to MMI and they loved it. How is the school? what are the requirements to enroll? being that I don't have my GED I'm going to be taking the test within this month/next month.

Please let me know your thoughts if you have gone there or are attending the school

bro there have been numerous threads about UTI.. everyone says it sucks for the the amount of money your going to spend. i have friends who graduated from ATC and are now working for lexus. getting paid decent money. and did the same shit you would do at UTI. and paid less than half of what you would at uti

Thing is i applied for fafsa and im eligible for other grants aswell. also if you have stupid shit to say in tags say it to me so i know who you are instead of hiding behind a computer screen.

move down to miami and do the T10 program which is the Toyota specialist program in miami lakes tech and its pretty cheap

I'm usually against UTI but one good thing is you usually have a job when you're out. I know when I worked as a tech at BMW everyone who was there usually came from UTI as our dealership actually went to the graduations to search for techs to hire. BMW techs get paid pretty damn well I might add, good future if you decide to go that route. Just one thing that sucks is you'll spend a few years paying off your UTI tuition, but considering if you get to the highest level of BMW tech (Level 1, and all BMW dealerships PAY for you to goto BMW school to gain this level eventually) you have the possibility to earn up to $100,000 a year (about 3 guys at my BMW dealership made that, and they had huge houses and nice cars). Good luck with whatever you choose!

Im attending uti as of now, and honestly its the best bang for your buck, currently they are upgrading all their shit to be 2006 and up to keep up with new technology. Shits sick, each class has a great amount of tools for the students while in lab, other schools dont ( for example a $30k scan tool "modis" from snap on we have about 15 in juist one electrical class) SO i highly recommend it, I have learned so much in performance, diagnosis, electrical, brakes, suspension, the whole 9 yards. ALso i won my last ticket because i happened to know what i was talking about lol. just makes you sound that much more professional.

Also i think you should speak to a rep, im only paying 10,000 for my tuition this is because of fasfa, pell grants, and florida prepaid.

lmk if you have anymore questions! :bigthumbu

Thanks guys im really looking into it this is the type of feedback i wanted to hear from people who are going there or graduated from there

Hmm.. I personally have thought about going to UTI, I hear so many mixed opinions. I more or less want a few other legitimate places to compare with it. Also it wouldn't hurt if the place would help land me a job after I finished up there.
