As you all already know, USDC Round 2 is just around the corner as the competition at Sunlife Stadium will be on March 10th! All drivers who would like to compete are STRONGLY urged to enter as these events are big for the drift community here in south florida! Last friday a couple drivers and myself along with Chris Jackson and Tim Murphy headed down to the stadium to come up with the layout that would be used. Below is the Official Layout that will be used for USDC Round 2 along with the layout that we were gonna use but decided not to but figured i would still put up just so you could see what the other option was. Last clip is an inner clip on the final transition where drivers will transition facing the crowd allowing you to do some crazy crowd pleasers (Bill Stenger's Wave to the Fans) while crossing the shutoff point. This layout is created to be extremely fun to drive and equally as fun to watch. TANDEMS WILL BE EPIC!!!

The Layout Chosen for USDC Round 2 begins with an aggressive top of 3rd gear left entry into a long sweep where drivers will be able to carry high speed as they approach the next section of the layout where the large sweep turns a little tighter (second gear for low power) into a long transition to a sweep going in the opposite direction (shift back up into 3rd). The track contains a "Pocket" that drivers are encouraged to extend their drift into on the sweep after the transition just before the final crowd pleasing transition that puts the cars facing the crowd on the last corner. The transition in front of the crowd is an important place for drivers to get style points as pouring lots of smoke and lots of angle will DEFINITELY get you noticed by the fans and probably some extra WOW factor for the judges. The course is designed for DOOR 2 DOOR action so feel free to get Rowdy and do exactly that!

ill try to post a video of the solo class layout later today. its a top of 2nd gear entry into a right sweep followed by a transition into a left sweep and then a hard right to finish. Whole track is done in second gear and is a lot of fun.

KA-powered cars will have some trouble with the tandem track and SR-powered cars should be fine, for obvious reasons. V8's could probably pull off a 4th gear entry if they're feeling adventurous. The bumps can be an annoyance depending on your suspension setup and the lines you take. Solo track is laid out same as the first US Drift Circuit event except it's flipped. Meaning you'll initiate to the right instead of the left.

im just posting this so it stays on the recent threads for a little longer incase anyone hasn't seen the layout yet. :driving::chair:

Also.. Im guessing solo and tandem comps are going on at separate times ? And if so will the solo track be open to drive while the comp is going on and vise versa for the tandem track ?
