Tower bars (Ebay)

entries and transitions are what, 2 maybe 3 seconds of stress? after that its back to smooth sailing.

my car has little roll, and tons of grip.
maybe im just such an awesome driver none of these things really make a diff for me :). whatever, my car knowledge is spent.....

I get alot of my advice from competitive drivers btw.

dude chassis flex is always a bad thing, it doesn't equal grip at all. People wouldn't bother putting gussets in their roll cages if chassis flex was so good for grip. Grand am GT cars wouldn't be almost completely tube chassis cars if chassis flex helped out with grip they would all be driving 1980 toyota supras because that car was the flexiest thing I have ever driven.

Although I will agree partly with the swaybar comment. I have tired alot of different setups with my car as I have adjustable bars front and rear and I have run with stock bars and a combo of no front bar with a rear bar and vice versa. And i like having my front bar on its softest setting and removing my rear bar all together. Idk why but it feels like I have much more control over where the rear end is and I feel like I can stay at full lock longer and I can just hang out there smoothly.

Although I did run without any bars for a couple events (not really by choice broke some stuff but went and drove anyways) it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be but it still sucked. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

i run a big strut tower in the front and nothing in the back. just coilovers on the stiffest setting

and it feels decent.

in drift would the front or the rear flex the most during transitions and stuff like that?

No flexy joints and its nice and sturdy. I hate to say it but most all strut tower braces including cusco and tanabe and such fail because the bars are bolted on "joints" if you are trying reduce flex why can the bar itself pivot.

a pin doesn't make a difference in the design if your force is normal to the pin. its not an up and down movement on the towers, it's a inward movement. Im sure tanabe and cusco has engineers designing these.

Im pretty sure they are just as good as the ebay ones then. They are pretty much exactly the same. I would rather have something thats soild.

I'm gonna make my own. After reading this thread and realizing im bored with my car, why not.

i have a rear strut bar only because it was free and it looks cool and totally blocks all of my rearveiw. But it is knarly jic magic one. Now on to sway bars i personally like a tight front bar and no rear bar at all.

There is a huge difference between the eBay and cusco I could easily bend my eBay ones and my cusco I never could bend. But the eBay ones still made a pretty big difference

Good opportunity to take out the rear glass and install plexi windows with the extra money from selling the bar. ;)
