Top Gear USA First Trailer

Exactly, the British accents are a part of their personality. I highly doubt that this show will make it to season 2. There is no way to duplicate the Stig unless you do the same thing that the real TopGear does. If they do that it will look cheap and Generic. Who knows they might just call him the Stigs American cusin or some ghey shit like that.
 
Point is they're not going to get Micheal Schumacher or any real champion racing driver to be a stig. Probably Tanner Foust will do everything.
 
^Probably Not, but then again Tanner has alot of friends in the drift scene and you will probably see some of the Formula D top drivers and alot of tuner scene time attack drvers as well. We may not have F1 back in the states yet but, Indycar Racing champs might be the way to go with the Stig. He could Be Helio Castrovenes or someonw like that.

I am just curious as to how the Star in a reasonably priced car bit is gonna turn out. If all stars are starting to hit the UK version, what is the point in us having a show?
 
^^^ This is exactly my point. If you really think about it there is no point in TopGear USA. They could have done it yrs ago when the show was canceled in the UK. Now it's too little too late. I also doubt that they will pull off the air plain hanger set like TopGear UK. It won't be the same, it just won't feel right to watch that poor excuse for a car show.

Think about this as well... The reason TopGear UK is so awesome is because the hosts are all writers. Tanner Foust is a racer, think about it. He will be limited on his comments of a car because his Vocabulary is not as extensive as a Jeremy Clarkson. Seriously do you think Tanner can come up with a line like " all Lory drivers murder prostitutes and stick them in the back of their Lorys" LMAO! I just don't see it. Tanner is more of a "this car is trying to kill me," This is awesome," "WOW!" blah blah blah. I would have liked it more if they would have named the show something else and tried to go in a diffrent direction. It's like the NFL vs XFL or NBA vs WNBA. All these things failed because they tried to add to something that was already great and they failed in epic form.

I'm thinking that they will change hosts in the future. TopGear UK had to do the same Tiff was a host on TopGear before he went to 5thGear and so was the fat guy on the re-air of TopGear this is just before they added James May.

Not only is topgear UK funny/smart, but EVERYTHING BBC has like this amazing cinematography... They could make a dishwasher look bad ass with the way they film things, excellent production value.. I cant picture these guys (usa) flying around to remote places driving bad ass cars... top gear USA will be just like top gear australia, FAIL...

This was my next point. I remember when they drive 1500 miles through Vietnam on Bikes, that was epic. Or when they drove through south America in 4WD SUV'S. When they stayed in a town they paint shit on the SUV's to try to get a rise out of people. Or what about when the drove from Miami to NO in $1K shitboxes and almost got their shit pushed in by a couple of renecks lol! Nah I doubt TopGear USA has any chance at all. I don't think that they will be able to keep up with these guy's :bigthumbu
