I just put in the tomei advance trax diff. It makes a lot of noise especially when first driving the car. If anyone has the diff let me know how theres is. Want to make sure nothings wrong with it.
from my knowledge and research from other peoples lsd, they will make noise, nismo is the quietest blah blah idk where tomei falls in. if you installed it correctly you should have no problems, and it will make noise
i have one, makes noise, normal, locks hard, nothing wrong with it.. unelss its making noise at 60mph in a straight line then u might wanna double check
Welcome to the world of 2-ways gotta love it.... Ive got a KAZZ and Solid Subframe bushings... sounds like someone is smashing my subframe with a BIG FUCKING HAMMER and locks like a beast... gotta love it... makes less noise when u dont put too much torque to it.. the noise is just the clutches trying to grab. So try to ease out of it or take turns a bit softer with less gas if the noise is too much for ya.. but yeah the noise is normal. enjoy
i've got the tomei t-trax lsd, and it's a lot noisier when the fluid is cold first driving the car for the day, once it warms up it quiets up a bit...if you do it rite and take turns in the rite gear, with the rite amount of throttle as to not apply too much tq. to it, it wont clunk much if at all...If it really bothers you around corners/turns hit the clutch and coast through or throw it in neutral around a turn and when you straighten out put it back in gear and go. I do this sometimes in the morning before the Diff is warmed up. But when she locks, ohhh boy :bigthumbu also you can go through lots around tight turns if you do it rite need to be veryy easy on the throttle, once you apply too much the car will jerk and that'll cause it to lock and your pretty much stuck clunking till you throw it in neutral or straighten out.
