Tire retreading

actually, 18 wheeler tires are regroovable, there is a whole lot of extra rubber and when the tread gets low, they just cut new tread into it. but retreading is dangerous and not recommended by any means

hey thanks guys, for the quick reponse. It was a question for a full size spare, it was running low on the treat and didn't want to but a new tire for like 80, plus 15 or 20 to mount it, i think its kinda high for 1 spare.

first retreading per falkens retread manual calls for a pound of double bubble per 30mm of tread width, once you've got enough start chewing, it helps if you have others to help chew but its not required. lastly apply in generous amounts nice and even all the way around the tire, the rubber sets in 15mins so make it jiffy. 24 hours until full cure.
