i think my timing might be off...the car cranks but wont turn over,,, if i get a push start in first gear the car turns on, and drives fine...however when i start it, it seems to crank rather sluggishly sometimes,,,right now the car is not turning on...plugs and wires are new,,,

for some reason the injectors are flooding the head with fuel now, prolly cuz i keep cranking it...i let it sit, but nothing...do u think i need a new distributor, cuz i can install it myself however i dont know how to set timing....

i dont think its timming if u push start it and it runs, its prob fuel my guess is leaking injecters
 
that was my second thought....cause it actually runs fine, and i got it to run, by letting the key in the on position, then put my foot down on the throttle at WOT and started it, it rumbled a lil...my first thought is that its one of my valves since i have heavy valve noise coming from the valvecover, it tends to go away, but i know its something that i have to look into immediately....yo alex hit me back up B!
 
when u crank it at WOT it dose not fire the injectors and getting a lot of air so it will start, and the valve noise can be stuck lifters put ATF in it and run for 10 min and chang oil
 
Timing, is it a KA?

A stuck injector would pour white smoke while running, don't tell me it wont because i had #3 injector stuck and it looked like i drove a smoke machine.

Timing will cause it to turn over real slow, but so can a bad ground.

Also, when you put your foot to the floor in a car with the key on it will fire the injectors. My rx7 wont start unless I pump the throttle.

its black smoke when its running rich and holding it to the floor does not fire the injectors its called clear flood google it, most cars do it

after you get it running change your oil it will have gas in it and it will spin a bearing

So your telling me, that my white smoke was caused by something else. Well for your information, moron. When I put in a new, good flowing injector. The white smoke when away, wow that must be a fucking miracle. Its god damn mind boggling!

ugh....i hate when people start arguing in threads...thanx for the help, when i did the wot it started up,,,however i will change the injectors, fuel filter and if necessary fuel pump..., but yea i really do wanna check my valves
