Yea i totally forgot that ur a cop, so i know day to dady that your line of work puts ur life on the line & innocent people too.

I am from & was born In Costa Rica. Its a lovely place bro. it is a nice place to live but the only reason that i couldn't live there yet, is that i can't accustom myself to that kind of lifestyle. its just a completely differeny way of life, so much more enjoyable & relaxing but still slow and not as technology advanced then here. i still visit every summer, when i can.

well i know that there are murders, rapist, killers, psychos and many others of the sort and the world is a cruel place and they won't hesitate to take my life, but its a risk that is put in front of me doing this and its a risk im not afraid to take.

this book is amazing its about a guy who walks across america to discover himself with his dog. he talks about his time with other people and his experiences. and he does in fact finish his trip. it very empowering.

well congrats bro for having your own house, a wife and a good job. now a parent and that does definitely take a lot of work :bigthumbu

but that doesn't make u any better then me just because u have all that going on for you. your the one who needs to grow up for trying to put people down and think this is all for attention. you might have matured from all the above, but you still have a lot to learn.

No i won't walk with 5k in my pocket (espectially since it wouldn't even fit in my pockets :laugh:)

i'll have the $ deposited in my bank account and i'll carry my credit card/debit card with me. So i can buy anything on the go with my card...that is the smart way to do it.
 
Dude I honestly just recommend that you find another to go about finding yourself. Regardless of if you think walking the country will help you find yourself I think it will just show you how to live on the streets with nowhere to live and nowhere to eat. How are you going to go about taking showers and washing clothes I know your not going to wear the same clothes every day and carrying your clothes is going to be a lot of hassle.

I just honestly believe that you should reconsider doing this.
 
why not just go on a camping trip up north? no easier way of finding yourself than being alone in mountains for a few months.. you can rent a log cabbin for a month for cheap...
 
hhmm. if this is what you want to do. it would look sorta dumb on your part if this fails. maybe you should think a lil bit on it. save a bit more like 10k and go backpacking across europe. my uncle and his friends individually did this and they liked it. beats walking across america. but whatever makes you feel that you can do it go for it, but be cautious and think it thru like ALOT, all aspects. PM me your address and ill try and send the book out soon, theres some writing and scribbles but its from when i was a freshman in HS.

Just be careful. Out in the middle of nowhere, things will get lonely and dangerous. Like DONUTDurifto was saying, people are fucked up. I was just reading a news article where some guy was dismembering someone's body with scissors and a knife, and then eating the body parts on a bus in Canada. Not saying something like that happens a lot, but disgusting twisted stuff happens everywhere. So yea... be careful, and be smart. Walking this far will require some serious food and drink. Don't skimp on the preparations before you go... it could mean death.

Not being negative, but I really don't think that is the way to do it. You have the 5k invest in something in an apartment, show your parents you can live on your own. Or go to school. Trust me I know, about school and being lazy i just graduated from high school in May and I don't want to step in to another school. I really don't think you will find your self by going out there, and waste 5k on stuff like that, or just waste life.
