throtel/idle problem

i have a problem with my ideling, i have a ka24de, its ideling at 2,000/2,500RPMs its not the distribuitor timing, what else could it be??

have you tried to adjust the idle air screw?

the air idle screw, the one thats on the back of the intake manifold?

its on the idle air control valve. Pretty easy to spot.

u got a pic of where that is? to make sure if its the one i tried, i tried one of those but didnt do any difference

If you adjust it and nothing happens it could be bad. I'm sure it could benefit from a good cleaning. Or you could have a vacuum leak.

or make sure that the throttle cable is not hung up on anything
it may sound stupid but i have had it happen

it also could be that the throtle body cable needs lube.. in old cars it tends to get stuck.
