Ok so as some of you know, my cars been out of commission as of like a month ago when i spun a rod bearing from being stupid and not checking my cars oil level every now and then
So i sold my drumset to get some money, and i bought a new KA for $350 and payed off the rest of my 5 lug swap. I also bought some tein springs on some old rusted stock struts for $75
So right now my cars in the garage, just waiting till the weekend for this dude to come over and help me with the swap
In the mean time i figured, hey take those tein springs off and put em on my stock springs, and do the 5 lug swap so its mostly ready and just needs the engine
Well i tryed getting the front tein springs off and it was no luck. I used some spring compressors to compress them as much as i could, and then i sprayed a bucnh of wd40 on the rusted nut and figured ok just have the springs compressed, then twist that top nut off, and eveyrthing should come off easy
nope, wrong. The top nut is so rusted in that it just spins the whole thing around. Whole thing meaning as far as i can see, that black thing on the top to cover the springs, and that shiny metal tube in the middle
Spinning that for like 20 minutes didnt get it off, but somehow my springs came off that assembly and off to the side, but still stuck on from that topo and bottom piece holding it in
Idk if that makes any sence, i can get some pictures tommarow, or later tonight if i dont fall asleep soon
Then move onto the front hub. So ive heard, just stick a flathead in the edge of that cap, and get a mallet and hammer it and it should pop off like that. Well i put the screwdriver in and hammered the shit out of it for like 10 minutes and couldnt get it to come off at all. Maybe the flathead isnt sharp enough but idk
Im starting to get really fed up at this shit
anybody got any tips? am i just doing this wrong? I havnt had internet for the past couple days so i havnt been able to really look up how to do this, but theres also not really any writeups that go into depth about what to do with the springs
