oh yeah, and i just saw this...

MATT POWERS put down some quality qualifying passes and he ended up battling James Deane in Top 16. He wasn't able to win against the Irish driver but put up a pretty good fight in the process.

As for these two guys, if they are serious about competing they need to work on their car setups.

Mad Mike is getting way better throughout the season in FD. Matt Powers just doesn't seem like he's on throttle enough or something. He's got a lot of power, but still runs light angle, modulates throttle, and doesn't make any smoke. When I watch that video I wanna yell at him to floor it.

agreed matt powers seems to be a little wavery in his driving but still a solid driver no doubt
 
yeah look at how high up all the other cars are that are in 1st and 2nd and third....fenders still have an inch gap on wheels
 
i mean, im not saying matt powers is a super dooper awesome driver, but in his own word "im obviously a good driver... im in Formula D"

again, im not saying hes a GREAT driver, but he is a good one. Hes also not conceded.. quite humble actually.
 
my opinions
I was real pumped when powers got picked up with a decent sponsorship and was expecting some sweet driving. They are some of the only dudes to carry there "style" to fd.

Mike's been driving decent before and has been improving throughout this season. I believe powers went into the first couple events gun ho and failed it up, trying to out drive the car or his skill. it seems he's backed off the throttle and angle to try to actually make a couple top 16 finishes. Maybe he was told too chill out and actually place idk. But thats my thoughts on it. At ATL he came in hot and tryed to pull sweet angle and entries.

Powers car is at a loss at the ride height its at which isnt helping any, and to think he raised it aloooot before fd. Mikes car has alot more suspension design into it to be more funtional at its current height. I was real bumbed with powers driving this weekend seems it either wasnt making power or he was'nt using his right foot, or needed like 15 more psi in the tires.

Yeah both dudes are good for sure. I mean, look where they're at. They just need to keep getting better. Power's car was the highest I've seen it yet at Irwindale, but it was just the front. It looked kind of goofy.
 
Oh I didn't know that. It was tucking rim in the back and had tire gap in the front. It doesn't seem like that would help performance haha. I thought he made top 8, but maybe not? He did real good there last year too.
 
Gotta remember that car is zombied to fuck its been wrecked more than most 2 dollar whores. So idk if it could ever be somewhat balanced, persay
