The reason why I am not sliding on Ziex's anymore.

Most of you know Taka Aono's infamous crashes, but this just doesn't work for me. Azenis and RS2s all around for me. :bigthumbu

Hahaha, seriously though the guy is super nice and is supposed to be a great cone basher, but I think he needs to rethink his drifting career before he's involved in the first sanctioned drifting death.

damn, but then again i have been running the new Ziex 912's on the front and i have been doing very good, I was entering on 3rd gear at county line, and they held up great...

I used to rock the Ziex 512's in the front and I thought they were the hottest shit since sliced bread till I met Mrs. Hankook RS-2 :D but ziex in the rear = winner.. also good for the front (pricewise/performance) but then again I still havent graduated from 2nd gear drifting. so what do I kno :)

I am running the new ziex on the front .. wanna tandem????? ask manny he drove my car, the trick IMO for an underpower car is the threadware, all the tires i run on the rear are in the 350-450 threadware margin, you wont catch me running something like a RS2 or Azenis back there, one is because i would like to conserve my VLSD life, two i dont have enough power. Yet these high threadware tires give me enough traction to enter at 3rd gear.

werd on the new ziex in the front...i love a car that pushes a little... underpowered car...run that nice n hard tire in the back....a worn down ziex in the back is always nice for a underpowered car

The combo of Azenis or Hankooks RS2s up front and Ziexs(512 or 912) in the rear for underpowered cars feels great. You'll know the front will have great grip and the Ziexs give good enough grip to control the rear in a drift and can be broken loose predictabily on underpower cars. I had RS2s up front and ran both types of Ziexs(one a pair wore out) and I was entering redling 3rd in the 86 at Moroso and it felt great.

I would love to try Direzza Z1s but I need 15" wheels for those. In the meantime I dream of the day I can run all 4 RS2s, I'll need more power for that. . .

I think Taka got the fucking message! Look at the bottom of his front bumper.

yea i dont know who in the right mind would put ziex on the front in the first place.

I did, and I got 4th on the Festival of Speed at Moroso.

I also believe Juan's been running them for quite a while... and he got 2nd at the Festival of Speed... and we've all seen his performance at Countyline, which were on Zeixs.

^^^^It's true. And lately Erick has been using clutch kick entries, not e-brake entries. E-brake entries are easier on front grip.
