The King of Countyline Series - Round 2

It just seems weird to deter people from coming to the 2nd event.

How are we deterring people from coming? I really don't think you or anyone should worry that you won't qualify. If you do good there's no reason you shouldn't be able be in the top 32.

Who's at fault for not coming to the first event? Us or the drivers? Ok loose example... Is it formula drift's fault if people don't earn points at long beach? And should they double those drivers points in Atlanta?

Now I completely understand this isn't formula drift or even a professional series. So isn't that even more reason to come out and just have fun? It's just meant to be a fun mini series for the local florida guys to advance their driving and compete in friendly competition.

I understand how this can anger people who didn't score in the first round. But I truly don't I think it will affect you as bad as you think.

No Id still share this same opinion even if I scored a 100 at rd.1. The reason i havnt said something sooner is cause I was under a diff impression. So after reviewing the standings(given that everyone who posted a score from rnd.1 shows up and posts a second score) their are 12 spots up for grabs cause quilifier #19 posted a 47 and #20 posted an 11. So their are 12 spots up for grabs. Looks like depending on who shows up to rd.2....the Top 32 comp is gonna have some serious battles right from the get go in the first round of eliminations. Should be exciting :driving:.

your complaint is that you have a 0 from round 1? dude... how else would a series of events work. scores are added from each round. if you do bad/dont show, then its not anyone's fault but your own. really, 12 spots is a lot. those that ALREADY have a score wont matter for you trying to sneak in, so you just have to be in the top 12 of everyone who isnt already on the score list. You are lucky there aren't 32 scores, because then you would HAVE to kill it and hope they screwed up. you'll be fine if you can post a decent score and if you cant, then you cant argue that you should be in the running for KOC....

I guess it just seems weird because I was under the impression that it was one competition and you guys were just giving everyone 2 chances to qualify and using the highest score. But it's really like a 3 event series. And being that it's really 1 competition in the end, it's weird that someone could have the best qualifying score of anyone out of both qualifying events and be rewarded with a 20th qualifying position or something for the actual competition. That is kinda discouraging. I know it's all about fun, but it's still a competition. It's just different I guess. I also need to read better. Oh and the only reason I missed the first one was because I was at an FD event. I think?

I'm going to Frankenslide and only have 6 tires left, and no money, so I doubt I'll be making it down there. Have fun dudes.

yuuuuup

Its all good brotha, but I know its unorthodox. I'm always trying to think of something different for the drivers down here. Its like a mini mini series.

But my goal is to give these guys the experience of driving under pressure. Drifting just to slide is great but you know if you can get used to driving under pressure it will make it that much easier to put down solid runs when it counts.
Once I get my motor back together I'll be back up at CFRC alot...

No Jason this isnt cuz I'm whinning like a little baby cuz i screwed up at rd.1. I would still be saying this if I got a 100 at rd.1. Just like Jeremy said its the principle that someone can miss rd.1 come to rd.2 and get the highest single run score of anyone and possibly sit in the 20th quilifing spot. Thats all was trying to say but did a bad job of saying it i guess. I know none of us have a problem with trying to battle our way from w.e. quilifing position we get. It was just the principle of whoever can lay down the best quilifying run should be in the top of the bracket.

And yes I understand this is just a little mini mini series so everyone can come out and have a great time and be put under some pressure. It was explained that if you miss rd.1 you can come to rd.2 and still possibly make the top 32, but the details werent fully explained. I would have no qualms with it if it was fully explained that competeing at rd.1 & 2 you will have a total possible score of 200. While you can miss rd.1 and only show up to rd.2 your total possible is 100 for your top 32 score. It just wasnt fully explained properly is all I'm saying.

you guys are still acting like if you scored a 100 round two you wouldnt still be at least half way up the bracket since its not like the people that scored 40s or 50s are suddenly going to throw down a 100 point score this round if they even show up i mean its possible but very unlikely. not to mention there are still 10 spots open.

Its the principle of having the proper information reaguarding the quilifiyng rounds possible points total. Thats all. 200 if you show at both and only 100 if you show at rd.2.

idk why you were confused i understood from the beginning how it worked and i think was pretty well explained

My plan is to come and make 1 run and score 220 points! You better watch out!
