Harri piloted the Ter-Tech 535 to the win in Atlanta on Saturday for our first team victory.
After running consistently all day in practice despite losing a tire and destroying a wheel on the first practice run, Harri easily qualified for the top 8 positions with 3 perfect clean runs sideways through the whole course, well before the judging area started.
Another two flawless runs got us into the top 2 in points so that the final 4 was Harri vs a blue S13 for 1-2 and Andy Sapp vs a Miata for the 3-4 round.
After Andy Sapp took the 3rd place, the S13 went out for his one-run final and spun entering the fast right hander. After seeing the S13 spin Harri went a little conservative ( I couldnt tell) and cruised to the victory.
Everyone then took part in tandems and group runs of 3-4-or 5 cars for about 20 minutes until the victory circle celebration and Getting showered with champagne by Harri.
Here's to our first win in what will surely be a string of many!!! Looking forward to coming events in December and the 2006 season!!
