Some friends and I were watching you go out there and we were discussing how it seemed that it was a lot harder for you because you slowed down too much and the revs were never high enough to make true power. Since you basically have no torque you gotta get up in the high rpms and stay there.

But it was great seeing an FD go sideways!

yea well what happened was the first 2 sessions i had old tires on there, so all i had to do was throttle a little and it'd rip sideways, then i put my hankook radials on and they were about as sticky as my fronts by then (they were new) so it was much harder, torwards the end i started clutch kicking (which i hate doing it) but i got used to it, it just sucked i didnt get to hit the long 3rd gear turn after they changed it. but i have my springs and struts going on soon, so hopefully next event it'll look much hotter. my performance was really disappointing, but being nervous like crazy didnt help, but i looked at it as motivation to just get that much better.

The pic makes it look like I have some skill, thanks :bigthumbu . I'll keep trying to get better, overall it was a fun event. I hope to do plenty more in the future. Good job to all drivers, crew, staff and spectors for showing drifting is here to stay down here.

Thanks man, not the easiest car to drive but I love driving it. As time goes on I hope to improve a lot more. My 1st runs for some reason were my better ones but I'll be doing more events to get better. Oh and you were doing really good out there also :bigthumbu

I felt the same way.... I assumed as temperatures went down that my tires werent giving out the grip I needed. After sunset I had two runs with considerable understeer.

Then I realized it was a lot of driver's error too lol. My morning runs were much better... particularly the 2nd session.

Yeah I fell into understeers trap as well lol. I dropped the tire psi and the car felt great again, it was just driver error after that. I also realized a lot of people started to understeer and some people changing tire psi.

yeah i took like no video even though I had a cam with extra batteries and tapes, lol I was too busy almost getting hit.

On the safety aspect we seriously need radios, like I would yell several times to hold the line run out to get a cone and hear a car coming and be like OOOOHH SHIT!! and run its funny but not at the same time

You do have skill, trust me. Your switchbacks were really nice, and you made the most out of your engine's power. Our cars are pretty tough to drive, and the way you were driving seems like you have a good understanding of the car. I really want to see all of us Hachi guys out there in one event. BTW, your suspension is awesome, and I am deffinatley saving up my pennies to get that set up. It seems like the best setup for the money.
