question how many miles are on ur ka rite now? its not a bad idea at all i was thinking about it for a while. but if ur looking for like 250+hp! its not gonna happen unless u build the whole thing! and doing will cost as much as just buying a sr.

having a BUILT KA and having a STOCK SR are two different things.


i'm not gonna turn this into a KA vs SR argument, but i will say this: BUILT vs STOCK

i kno their two different things. am just telling him a stock ka is not gonna hold alot of boost of dats wat he wants.
 
the bottom end of ka's are pretty strong believe it or not. the only thing that makes them horrible for lots of boost is the head and the sr has it draw backs also. for instance sr bottom ends are weak. and those 500-600 hp srs w/ stock bottoms are dyno queens. but the heads on sr's can handle lots of boost. so either way youre gonna be set back, but overall sr's are better for more boost = good track engine. but on the road you dont really wanna boost more than 8-10. why? because the more boost the more gas the more money to spend. so ka's = good street engine
 
first off.....you should really post some specs first on the turbo....

but to the guy above me...please dont start an a big sr vs ka battle......even more if you cant back it up...both heads arent even that big of a deal....bottom ends hold power...the head makes it....but imho i like the ka head more cus of the whole bucket and shim thing going on...but were not getting into that....ive SEEN FAST sr (stock bottom end) and ive SEEN fast ka's (stock bottom end ...its an everlasting battle...but im going to go ahead and say for that turbo just looking at it and not knowing a damn thing about it lol.....for it to be in efficiency...a ka will pop beating on it on the weekends on stock ecu and all that other non-sense most people do.......that goes for an sr too...

so ur saying a ka with a str8 t04...a big ass one...on 10 pounds...gets better gas mileage than my buddies 1.3l turbo at 14 psi? doubt it
