Well, this is not something you see a lot. Its a demo in Ritsona, Greece(that's what it said in the description at least). It looks and feels like a tarmac rally(a lot of people on the other side of the guardrail). This vid deserves its own thread:bigthumbu.

omg no way team orange uses the ebrake?! thats fake no real drifter uses the ebrake

As you can see in the video, the road is quite narrow at times and the stage was hard even for the D1 champions.
Tanaka and Kumakubo didn't have much time to practice as they came to Greece straight from USA (D1GP World Finals at Irwindale Speedway). I think they did just 2 passes the day before the race...

what are you talking about?
Using the e brake isnt a bad thing specially in a road like that, plus they are encouraged to use it in D1 so....

The E-brake if u look closely is often used not to get sideways but to reduce the speed when coming into an apex sideways... rarely is it used to pitch the car sideways...moslty on a very narrow road where u cant really use body weight to thro the rear end out.
I personally dont see it as a problem.
Although i havent entered any local drift events of any kind (YET) of done my fair share of drifting and grip.
Every drifter or autoX driver knows their E-Brake is as good of a friend as your clutch/brake pedal.

About the Vid...its sik....and its great to see japanese D1 drivers demo-ing in Europe..
and thus spreading the holyness of drifting across the globe LOL

These D1 guys are sik to drift under the pressure of knowing that all those spectators are behind those flimsy guardrails.
Props to them.

Thanks Redline.

Cheers.
