teach yourself how to drift

i learned how to drift by watching dukes of hazard and eatting peanut butter sandwiches, toasted martins potato bread with no jelly ftw win.

Shift lock is the same thing as clutch kicking pretty much. He just clutch kicks while downshifting.

yea it was from shift locking that i learned to clutch kick, ur right they are really the same just the timing.

not sure if i agree with that 100% but i get what you mean. to me shift lock initiations seem more comparable to e-brake than clutch kicks. but idk. maybe its just the way i do it...

I didnt say they were one in the same. I said pretty much same thing, except downshifting.
 
None of those techniques will work like they're supposed to until you get over the fear of driving unnaturally fast around the apex of a turn. Once you conquer that fear, then you can start with technique because it is at those condition that those techniques will work.

Until you feel comfortable driving at the limit you wont really be able to take advantage of this stuff.

and its this same reason i tell people its easy as shit to drift once you get autocross down.
