symtoms of bad maf but good maf ka??? help plz

yea that maf isent working right, or you have a bad connection from the wires to the ecu or its not for that motor/ecu

most nissan cars will do that when u unplugg the maf, they only rev to 2.5 cus they into a loop when the ecu dosent recognize thats its plugged in
 
to test the maf just start the car, let it idle for a minute, and then unplug it if the idle changes or shuts off then the maf works properly. did u remove the emissions on the motor. did u change the air breather from stock to short ram or non oem

yea i know that. it doesnt change. and yea. no stock intake witha filter

have you drove it yet

the maf isnt for the motor(s14motor,s13maf) but the ecu is stock.(s13)

at this point i would try to trace the maf wiring all the way back to the ecu it has to be split somewhere or your plug contacts are corroded. there is so many things it could be timing, vac leak, etc, etc

your not gonna get a magic answer from this thread you need someone with alot more knowledge of how it runs to look at it. just cause you can change out parts dosnt mean you know what your doing.

the maf dosnt depend on which year ka you use its what year harness you use.

have your tried unplugging the maf let it run like shit plug in the maf and disconnect the battery for like 5 min then reconnect and start the car sometimes it helps your car recognize a maf has been connected.
 
i unplug the battery while its on? or shut it off then unplug it? and this guy infected is supposed to roll through sometime to help me
 
yea the battery thing would reset everything pretty much.

sounds like a maf. check your wiring and grounds. my ka wouldnt rev past 5k and it ended up being a bad injector. lol it can be anything on these stupid cars.
 
idid the battery thing. when you go past quarter throttle it seems to just be gay and not rev just like misfire. its fucking pissing me off so much im not touching it. fuck that shit. but wen u floor it and shit it goes a little past 3k idk. what would do that? timing? i was fukcin wiht the dizzy timing at idle and just didnt make a diffrence
 
did you leave the butterflys in the intake manifold and not hook up the vaccum line to the actuator for them?

i took the butterflies out thres a block off plate on it. but i still have that round thing that has all the vaccum lines.
 
Post pics of your vacuum connections , perhaps then people can help.. Had the same problem, shits so frustrating on the real real..
