ok so i cleaned my maf that was good before, and it didnt do anything. then i got my boys maf and it did the same shit. doesnt rev past around 2.5k. and it backfires loud as hell. wtf is up with this siht please someone help me. infected where u at

this fucking motor has been nuthing but problems. im about to just give it back and get my fuckin money back

checked em all dude. the ground for the coilpack is on the fuel rail. if that matters. which i think it doesnt.

and i still fixed it and she idle good....

check ur timing just turn the distributer while its runing and then drive it see if it chages a little But MARK UR ORIGINAL TIMING ON THE DIST. SOMEWHERE
 
theres not that many sensors that can do that. tps, maf, pickup in the dist, coil, ecu, wiring, fuel pressure.?? Borrow some parts and figure it out its only a ka.

if teh timing was fucked wouldnt it not idle? it idles ok...

pull the computer u need a 10mm and a philips screwdriver and a small flat head DONT UNPLUG IT. then turn the computer around where u can see the knob. should be 3 screws

The codes are:
11 Crank angle sensor circuit
12 Air flow meter circuit
13 Engine temperature sensor circuit
14 Vehicle speed sensor circuit
21 Ignition signal missing in primary coil
31 E.C.U. (E.C.C.S. control unit)
32* EGR function
33 Exhaust gas O2 sensor circuit
35* Exhaust gas temperature circuit
43 Throttle position sensor circuit
45* Injector leak
55 No malfunction

well wen i got my coupe it had the same problem ,usually wen it only revs to 2.5k its the maf ,mines did the same i changed the maf and it runs perfect ,u need an s13 dohc maf in case u dint know.

i put min in a tooth off one time and it idled fine but wouldnt rev very high. but yeah, check the computer for codes like that dude said
