I was talking to some Cobra guys last night. They said just replacing front seats with a light after market set, taking out the rear seats and the spare and jack can save you almost 300 pounds...Its a start.rhythm_drifting said:The car is very touchy with weight. the lighter it is the more forgiving it is. Especialy with how messed up the cobra weight distribution is on top of weighing 3900lbs no gas no driver. I didnt say I couldnt do it I just said it would be easier if it was lighter.

haha yup. Thats pretty much what they said too. haha.rhythm_drifting said:I've got the jack out already but as for the interior I'm still trying to keep the car at show quality (bodywork being done in november) and the front seats are on of fords rarest besides the gt40 seats so personaly they have to stay but that fights the weight battle. Pluss ive added a ton of chassis stiffining to tighten the convt up so i was at 3550lbs but on the other hand i can jack up underneeth the driver door and the whole rear end will come up chest height dead level with only 1 1/2" of sag on the passenger side. So it comes down to and internal battle for full race or part race part show....... still havent decided. thanks for the info tho i could take the seats out for events =)
