Suggestions for next event

Sean Love

.
OK, so here's the official thread for people to suggest ideas for the next event. Doesnt mean it's going to happen the way you want.

It's impossible to have 4th gear entry into a decreasing radius left hander to a right hander with a slalom, then a kink, into a corkscrew, downhill through the carousel, over the river and through the fucking woods up to the triple apex 7th gear right hand sweeper.......

BUT feel free to share your ideas, desires, suggestions and wet dreams.

i would like a long sliding fast big weight transfer ebrake entry to a decreasing radius same direction turn. add a big dirt hill on the left side of it with a camera man for JDM look.

Copied and pasted from the other topic:

I have some suggestions:

1. n00bs need to remember to press in the clutch whenever they spinout. Too many times the line had to wait because some n00b stalled while spinning out. Even worse when they had to get out of their car and pop open their hood to get their car started back up again.

2. There has to be a person in charge of the line there at all times. At times there wouldn't be anyone around to let the driver go and the line would be held up.

3. MORE VOLUNTEERS!! There was definitely a lack of volunteers out there at the track. I say we force some of the drivers to take turns to be out in the field grabbing cones. Also get some flags to inform the line organizer not to send a driver out. Thats to help prevent what happened to me.

2x the number of turns with 1/2 the speed b/c the number of turns = the amount of fun.

Oh and for other suggestions on improvements to result in a total ass beating because anyone with an idea to make things better deserves to die.

equal amount of track time.....not one group getting the alloted 4 runs, and other groups getting 5-7 runs each time.

This track............. It will fit in the lot im to lazy to go back in and redo but the bleachers can live by the street. You can change where we enter the venue so we dont have to start sliding on the black top........ This course layout caters to both advance and newbs..........

Do it.....

i think we should try and raise money and find investors to build a permanent track that can be set up 3 or 4 different ways :bigthumbu o and it be further south that WPB.....i'll prolly get flamed for suggesting this

+1 platano...having a permanent course...however crazy the idea is...is not bad....only problem is we're all a bunch of broke bastards :bigthumbu not a bad dream to have though

In all seriousness, the course had potential. Move the starting grid back to the end of the lot, take better advantage of the space in the pits, and move the spectators to the side and there could have been much better entries on that course. Maybe even shrink the last couple turns and push back the first turn. It wouldn't have taken much to make the course that much better.

I like this, good one bro

half time tamdem show,
this only for the serious tandem tag teams
no noobs

the two indivuals should have been driving together for a while, so its more of a show then a competion.
I stree this because it should cut down the damage collateral. i really dont want people fighting because homie in the back hit my car or visa versa. i think it would be a really crowd pleaser and push the skill of the drivers to give there best in that situation.
and ultimatly the drivers would see whos got what and get compy with each other. which in turn, just maybe from this an all out tandem comp could be possibly.

while the ideas are coming out there is couple things to keep in mind
1 limited amount of K-Rail
2 Entry from the grass parking lot is out of question unless I rent that also, and that would mean I would have to K-rail 4 full sides of the track not enough rail
3 spectator parking has to be on the same lot if we use lots of space on the other lots Cost goes up
so basically the entry stays where it is at unles someone is willing to trow 5000 towards me to cover the cost of extra lot

The insurance we use is not the same as DGtrials etc... use they have absolutely no requirements other than 25 ft between track and spectators and everybody sign a waiver. Ours require the K-rails all around the track.

well for the simple fact that even half lap apart, 2 cars CANNOT be on track together....
make a course with 3rd gear entry that can cross over it self in the middle to add turns.
3rd decreasing to 2nd snap back, then again around and whatever u want... as long as u mark it with cones/(chalk lines?) we are fine. I saw several people on the wrong side of some cones making me think they are really out of control or lost.

biggest thing i think is a driver meeting/walk course.

lol can we have a wall we are allowed to get close to? not to sound stupid but i know its something people like to try to do and spectators love it. no biggie tho.

Next event will definately have a 3rd gear entry that goes without saying.
as for the 2 cars at the track at the same time, it remains open till I get the quote back for tandem possibility, I don't know about you guys but me and Tim and couple others definately want to practise tandem.
Walking the course takes 30 minutes about the same as the drive thrus took I think that you see the track better from the enviroment that you will be doing it from later (meaning the car ) but if popular demand is walk thru that is what we will do??
All the good ideas will be put to use so keep giving them, these ideas might not be good in everybodys eyes thats why this tread was opened by Sean

The wall question is a no, you might have the skill to do it, but do you honestly think that all the drivers out there are able to play with the wall? Thats the sole reason for parking lots NO WALLS. If people/drivers weren't scared of the walls we would always sell out the oval track events, but even when you get to drive for free (Charlotte county Speedway) only 5 people show up. The reason is that there is Walls most drivers can't afford and want to risk their car for a practise. Now a competiton might be a different situation. keep them coming

i might speek for the guys n gals who have never had a chance to slide there cars.....maybe have a session where the guys in the event maybe show the n00bs somepointers ??? i wanna enter in the next event though ive never slide my coupe!!! gotta get seat time in some time ya know!!

I'm actually looking into something like this I can get the money, just gotta see how it would turn a profit with insurance and everything, got alot of shit to do on paper before it gets moving.

i want a 6th gear entry, with a jump, decreasing radius corner, to increasing radius, into a 2 mile long 10 lane wide straight, into a 6th gear banked corner, into off camber corners, with 80 cars on track at once.
