who ever suggested a jeep as a tow truck should shoot himself in the foot with a shotgun.
I don't know about towing, but my brother's Rubicon pulled a bunch of shit out. Including a tow truck!

haha there were few occassions when i bought this 93 hatch hicas for parts... full car at the time, wrapped a tow strap from my car to the parts car, had someone sit in the parts car and yank the ebrake to stop us.... went from house to house for holding... proly did it about 5 times total...

Towing a 240 with another 240 on a trailer is asking for trouble. The car itself is too small and it will throw the tongue weight off and the trailer will sway as you drive. Then sooner or later it will inevitably flip.
yeah but pulling out of a ditch and towing are two different things. first of all the wheel base of a jeep is really small. plus the fact that its light and usually lighter than a car/trailer combo is just asking for trouble at moderate speeds. thats not including the fact that its drivetrain nor braking equipment is not meant to pull more nor stop such a combo.
altho, it can physically be done. anyone who knows anything about towing will advice against it.
hell i towed with my old jeep liberty a few times.
but i wouldnt recommend it if i had to do it again.
