Steering response

Im trying to increase the attack on my steering, it has a little bit of play when im driving and doesn't feel solid. It feels like I have to respond to the car instead of the car responding to me. Im not sure if that's normal but if anyone has any ideas on what it could be.

I have a power brace, tension rods, and front/rear strut bars. And also brand new steering rack bushings. Still I feel some play. I was told that it could be a steering column bushing or maybe some other bushing. I believe a have a little bit of a power steering leak, i dont know if that would affect it.

If anyone has any ideas on what it could be and maybe a write up of some sort on it as well that would be splendid.

:bigthumbu

Thanks

Luis

you should look into replacing your steering rack bushings as this sounds like some symthom that your experiancing. also the steering columing one too but i would bet its more the rack bushings being toast.

yeah i got those, but it still feels wrong

thanks

i would say the steering coupling i think that is what it is called, sometimes they wear down and get loose so you turn and then the car turns.

luis just drive without power steering then you dont have any slack in it :bigthumbu but you have to man up whjen you slide cause you really gotta crank that shit to counter steer fast enough.

yea the steering eliminator thingy that looks like a minature metal hockey puck with 4 holes in it that goes in the steering coloumn, i heard it feels good but takes like 32 hours to install...

tie rods
ball joints/bushings for lower arms
alignment

:arr:

p.s. j00 sig is t00 big.

some people mentioned it check the steering column bushing if you say you checked everything else, its basically on the column in the fire wall, ^^ yea thats it but its a PITA to install

32 HOURS!!!!

i think I found a step by step write up about it that said form 2 to 4 hours

lol, a bit of an exaggeration but heard its a pain.

o, i have heard it can be done in a couple hours if you have lift and wide variety of tools and have taken the steering column apart before.

or if your steering column is already out of the car then it is cake to install...

just going by word of mouth, could be wrong.

More than likely I dont have all the tools, I have no lift and I have no idea how to do it!!!!!
