Was having starting issues. Would not always start so I figured it was the starter. So I got a rebuilt starter, put it in and started up fine. Seeing that I had a lawn mower battery I decided to replace it. Went to put in new battery and all the lights went out and I blew a fuse and refused to start. I saw that some of the wiring and connections were crap so I fixed that. But the car still doesn't start. I am forced to push start it.

My question is: Do you think the starter is somehow bad or is there a bad connection/terminal? If anyone with more sr knowledge can come out and help, I appreciate it. I live in hollywood.

so after some more searching I think It might have something to do with the clutch interlock relay. From day one of purchasing car I didn't have to push in the clutch to start the car so Im thinking that the relay connection is bad. Would the interlock relay not let me start the car even if i push start it?

any help would be appreciated.

I have no idea. But I dont think that is the issue b/c I had no issues starting the car a few weeks ago until it started starting less often until now where it wont start.

Was your battery relocated to the trunk or is it still in the front?

check your ground(negative) for the battery. Mine was grounded like shit so everytime I tried to start the car nothing would happen and the lights would go out. I fixed it and now it starts perfect.
