SR20 Oil Pump Asmbly.

I am gonna be changing my oil pump on Friday. Ive done it on other motors, so i know what im getting into. but any insight would be greatly appreciated.........


Can everyone pray for me that i dont have catastrophic internal damage.
 
Well get ready for some fun. You will need to pull the head so If you can do a headgasket job you should have no problem.
 
YO SON I GOT YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make sure you got everything u need to start and finish the job!!!
dont forget to prime that bitch first, sr's dont like that dry startup!!!!!

+1 pull the head so while its off throw arp headstuds and a cometic on that bitch!!

if done it withe the head on before but its such a bitch todo!!
 
if your changeing the oil pump i'm with everyone.

get a headgasket, arp head-studs, and if you go money why not the water pump ( if you have a s13 go with an s14 water pump)
 
i got a s14 waterpump, and i would prefer to do it with the head on. so lead me the way Paul!! thanks for your help guys and anyone else who has their 2 cents im all ears....

Not gonna happen. If you can get it with the head on i will be impressed. I've heard it can be done so I tried it and I don't see how it will work. You will crush your h/g trying to get the oil pump on if you don't pull the head.
 
i did it with the head on before its hard, a bitch but it can be done!!!!!!!!!!
