ok so sometimes(most of the time) after teh cars warm, i shut if off, go do something, come back turn it on and it cranks good but it hates to start. i gotta floor it and go on the gas a lot for like 10 secondsfor it to starts. sounds like a fuel/air problem. i checked the power the pump its str8. idk what else so look at, im new to sr's. any advice on what to check plz lmk

Isn't cold start/ warm start controlled by the ecu....
Did you have it tuned?
Are you running a afc?

Try using someone else's ecu to check.

I'm not a Sr expert and all I have is my Sr sitting in my dining room waiting to be dropped in so take my advice lightly.

Also ppl call me crazy so I dunno

ill try that. and no tune, no afc

that doesnt make sense it runs perfect. when its cold, even sometimes when warm, it starts right up. why would it be low compression

When the fuck did ben get a sr?

Also you could be using a heavy weight oil that causes it to start up rough.. but you said when it happens with it's warm(usually thats only the case when you're cold starting).. so idk sounds bad to me lol.

Yea chris is right I would def check ur compression, how's does it sound when turning over when warm? Is it steady? Kinda hard to explain but def check ur comperssion, my sr started to do that but wasn't to bad, check my compression and it was 150-140-125-125. Right after I bought my car so I was pissed but I bought that engine restore and put it in and drove till I had to change my oil again and did another compression test and my readings were 150-145-150-145

most times hard start is caused by too much or tooo little fuel. Does it smoke when it does finally start? Also headgasket can seap coolant into the cylinders causing hard start and also low comp will deff cause hard start especially with rotary dorito power.

How many miles on the motor

like 80k. its clean as hell all around i just got it.it runs great. if its bad compression, wouldnt it run like shit all the time?

Nope wouldn't run like shit all the time, after I boosted my s2k I went to go dyno it and my tuner started the car to pull it on the dyno and he said it sounded funny starting so we did a compression test my last cylinder was at 90 when it should have been at 210, And it ran fine.

Wow seap is a weird word try just look at the letters it just made me think for a sec. W/e I'm getting tired. Lol continue
