So i told my friend i needed new plugs and he brought me some they came off a 2j i believe, and were only on the car for 3 runs, a dyno run with nos, and then two 1/4 miles runs with nos. they are ngk plugs with about a .030 gap. im planning to put them in my stock ka, do u guys think thats WAY too rich? i went to autozone on my way back home today and they said stock ones are gapped at about .044

and make sure they are the right heat range, after all 4 spark plugs cost all of what 8 dollars.

well their practically brand new he just got em for me and their gapped at .030 and how do u know if they are the right heat range??

wow, do yourself a favor and go get a set from the store for your year make model

and im telling you that you'd be better off getting the correct ones for your car. i dont think the heat range matters on a naturally aspirated car...?

why wouldnt you just buy the right plugs for YOUR car you think cuz they were on a 2J your cars gonna run harder your a bone stock ka buy the cheapest plugs possible its not rocket science

well im broke and my car is misfiring due to plugs and my homeboi got em for free so i wanted to run these till i can get some cash cus im dead broke and dont get paid till next friday. thats y i posted i wanted to c if it matters, and if they work for my car.

heat range may be off, cause if i remember correct nitrous cars run colder plugs. also is the thread pitch the same, and are the shanks the same size? if the plugs are longer you can run the piston right through the plugs.

ima take one of my plugs later and compare.... after some looking on jegs.com i found some details about the spark plugs i have

NGK Spark Plugs #739-R5671A-8 :

Racing Non-Resistor Spark Plug
14mm x 3/4" Reach
5/8" Hex
Gasket seat
V-groove center electrode
More Details

and then the recommended ones for 240s:

NGK Spark Plugs #739-BKR5EIX-11

Iridium IX Spark Plug
14mm x 3/4" Reach
5/8" Hex
ISO projected
Gasket seat
.044" Gap

everything is pretty much the same except for the gap (which i could alter if need be) , so is it safe to assume they would work good on my car?

BKR5E-11 for ka24de, BKRE6E-11 for stock boost on Ka24det or SR

BKRE7-11 or colder if you are running over stock boost or trying to limit detonation.

Too hot of a plug will cause you to misfire, and mess up your car.

Gap all plugs to .028 or .030.

All the above mentioned plugs are $2 each.

save yourself a trip to taco bell and but the right plugs
