These are just some of the cars you can find in the island of Curacao. There were many more that I wasn't able to capture such as Toyota Starlet's, AE111's, and a diesel Ford Ranger. But this should give you an idea of the type of cars they have access to.
Seat Leon
It took me a while to figure this one out but luckily Gran Turismo reminded me that SEAT is a car manufacturer from Spain. At one point I thought it was Chinese but once I saw the model name it hit me who the manufacturer was.
Toyota Vitz
This Toyota Vitz was parked at one of the beaches we visited and this was the only model with the Vitz nameplate. All the other vehicles had the Yaris nameplate even though they are the same.
Lancer Evolution Tommi Makinen Edition
Spotted this outside the only place you can sit down and eat at 1:00AM, Denny's.
I forgot what this was.
Toyota Altezza
Don't know if this was the AS200 or the RS200 but I didn't care. It was an actual Altezza and I was going crazy over it. Hearing them on the street was awkward since you come to expect the distinct sound of a 2JZ and instead it sounds like a typical 4-cylinder.
Kia Picanto
This was TurboMafia's rental car. The front looks like a Scion iQ and it's slightly bigger than one. The tires were so thin we joked they were 105's. Surprisingly it kept up with a Yaris in both straight-line and through the corners.
Nissan Silvia
This is Cesar's S15, a local driver who would win the international event later in the day. Yes he's sponsored by Monster but no he wasn't passing out any drinks. I was thirsty.
Toyota Hilux
The formidable, indestructible, and legendary Toyota Hilux which the presenters of Top Gear used to go to the North Pole is apparently a popular vehicle in the island. This was probably the vehicle I was looking forward to seeing the most and now I want one more than ever.
Nissan Silvia
This is Renee and his S15. A super cool dude who happens to be a local celebrity. He is known to run without bumpers because they come off in almost every run. He demonstrated this but jumping into his friends S14 and taking out the rear bumper as he linked the course.
Honda Civic
The first time I've been in a legitimate and original RHD Civic. I still don't get what the big deal is for it being LEV but it must've been significant for Honda to put an emblem for it.
Toyota Hiace
I never expected this to appear here. It seats 12, available with a manual transmission, and diesel. It's also used for taxi duty but without the yellow. Harri Tervola preferred to drive this car than the Toyota Yaris he was given as a rental.
Toyota Corona
This car screwed with my head more than any other car I saw. It looks like a Camry from some angles, it looks like a Corolla from another. I don't know why this car existed but thankfully it was discontinued in 2002.
Toyota Caldina
This was one of the biggest surprises for me amongst all the vehicles I witnessed. I had forgotten about this car and once I saw it I instantly recalled everything I knew about it. Toyota at one point sought to compete with Subaru in the wagon space so they created the Caldina. The car pictured above is the GT-T model which borrows the power train from a Celica GT-Four, which means it's powered by a 2.0L 3S-GTE 4-cylinder with an AWD system.
